This is a really well put together documentary...untold history that certain entities refuse to acknowledge. More important than "I am not your negro"....or any film that replays the same narrative.

Wow, White people that died decades to centuries ago really out-did themselves. They shamed us so badly that we want to be Native Americans. LOL

You're very rude towards other people's heritage. You're just a bigoted black racist...blacks like you are the ones that ostracize their own people for being different. There is no want...just facts. You should accept the fact that most people can trace their ancestry to these lands.

Just because you can trace your ancestry to a Native American, doesn't mean you yourself are Native. I have European ancestry, but I'm not European and it doesn't mean Negro's are Europeans.

I'm just fine with being black. I'm just trying to get you to realize that we're not Native Americans.

That is a invalid argument mixed with your false interpretation of my beliefs. Correct me if I am wrong but it seems your alluding to mixed ancestry...that is your argument right??? I didn't say I was Native American. I don't trace my ancestry to Hollywood Indians. I trace my ancestry to natives who looked like me and who were referred to as Negro, Colored, or Indian NOT African...

Ok you're fine with being black but others are not....others believe in culture/heritage and not color. You don't have to try to force your beliefs onto me. I will respect that you want to identify as black...so have respect for others.

I accept my European heritage, there are some European customs and beliefs I believe in despite being a Black American. However, there is no DNA or geographical evidence to show that Black Americans are Native Americans. We were brought here precisely because almost all of the Natives were extinct, so it was impossible to use them as slaves.

Dark skin is not an African-only trait, and is shared by other races beyond African's or Native Americans. I respect you if you don't like being black, it wasn't your choice to be born black, but your feelings don't dictate the evidence.

That's cool bro about your European heritage. There is evidence of the dark Aborigine of America in pipe museums, Europe, libraries, etc. There is no "we were brought here"...that may be your story but not every black American's story...all of the natives didn't go extinct.

My ancestors which are probably your ancestors too were called many names..Anasazi, Yamassee, Lenape...Europeans called them Indians, Moors, Blackamoors, Mulatto, Negro, Colored, Black, Coons (raccoons are native to America), Bush Negroes, Seminoles, etc. Never were they were referred to as African not even on the slave posters. The slave trade started with Native Americans being brought to Europe and Africa that's why there are statues of native americans in Europe with tobacco.

So did Africans know more about tobacco than the Europeans and Indians? Is that why they were enslaved and forced to produce tobacco for the Triangular trade. Despite the fact that tobacco is indigenous to America and many of these blackamoors have Ancient American apparel. Or did they just decide to dress up Africans in native clothing and give them credit for the Indians hardwork. I was told that the natives introduced tobacco to the Europeans...now who told you the natives went extinct?

I never said I don't like being black...I was alluding to the fact that color doesn't define heritage or culture. I don't let my skin color define who I am (even though its brown). In reality black is just a social status...anybody can be black not jut mulattoes.

The Natives of North America are almost extinct, the numbers bear that out.

Tobacco is a crop that Natives used to give Europeans, but when they almost all went extinct, the Africans were then forced to pick the crops for the Europeans. The Africans were brought to America for a reason, slavery. Just because the Africans picked a crop that was Native to America doesn't mean they are indigenous to America. And those headdresses barely look Native American at all.

Only around 300,000 Africans were brought to North America directly....so did you not bother to check any of the links. Are you an expert on Native American headdresses or something? I just want to know...

Africans didn't work on Virginia tobacco plantations in fact most of the Africans did not arrive until the late 1700s to the mid 1800s. Meanwhile alot of those paintings and artifacts are of the 17th and 18th century (from the 1600s to the late 1700s)

And it all comes down to this:

Are you black or white?
