Hi! I already did the exam and I must say that if you want a "good score" you should've learned a lot of complex vocabulary and know how to use it. Try reading a book and know every single "archaic" word, and know how pronounce it correctly. It counts a lot. It helped me, I hope it can help you too.

Like in litterature texts. Read books in english like Harry Potter or what you like to read and you will start to learn a lot of words. And don't forget the grammar exercises. After six big books like Harry Potter you will consider the exam an easy deal. To not foget anything until the exams moment you can continue reading with other best sellers in the same big size books.
Reading manga is not enough because is full of wrong translations and slang words useless in exam.
And not the last, read some news paper in english as much as you can.

Btw, if i made english mistakes is because i didnt follow the path i told you

Yes ,I went pretty well! And the books that helped me were mostly Shakespeare's. But my teacher said that most any of the classical books helps like Jane Eyre,Odyssey etc. Good luck!

Study the books related with your educational background - what you have studied so for or the course you want to participate in.

my country is a francophone...you will never believe if i tell you that i studied english by myself....it took me nearly 2 years for my english to be decent and understandble....
