Boruto anime/manga won't be childish sorry because it's already confirmed from Kishi( he said it will have a dark turning point) and the first 4 pages that Boruto manga will have dark and serious moments( Boruto's scar on his eye , Naruto being dead , Konoha Detroyed... Oh and even Sasuke possibly being dead too) .

I think Kishi just meant in the beggining of the manga/anime of Boruto it'll be happy then it will develop to be darker and Darker .

So for those who are worried about the Boruto anime/manga being childish don't worry

I feel not as dark might refer to moral themes and philosophy. Naruto series drowned deep in that after Pein arc.

But from another viewpoint, if he means dark as in story, violence and destruction. The darkest we see in Boruto thus far is Konoha completely obliterated & at what point in Naruto did it reach that point? Pein arc! Which many believe was the peak of Naruto being a good story. So if Boruto's peak = Naruto's peak at Pein arc then that means the story will be just as good up to that point and you war haters(most of y'all) should look forward to it. I'm trolling but give it a chance guys. Geesh.

But for many of us, we are just very skeptical of seeing more of the same with the next gen. It honestly isn't looking too good for the Boruto manga but only time will tell I suppose.

Could you imagine the uproar? And what would Sakura and Hinata do if they did die? This could be a great opportunity to actually make them both badass b**ches with a score to settle make em like real dark with some dark Jutsu. Like Sakura switching from healing to poison and Hinata...Tenseigan the girl and let her rip s**t up XD

It's not going to be the Boruto Manga story, if they are making their own story.

And Kishimoto even puts that to shame saying that the story is light.
