I did state that Ashura with training and cooperation = Indra, but we can't ignore that Hagoromo gave power to Ashura only, while Hagoromo gave power to both Naruto and Sasuke who are Ashura and Indra reincarnation.

We never saw Indra and Ashura fight, train, power, skills, etc. Kishi just gave statement with no feat.
