Sharks are very unique creatures. First of all, they have no bone. Their body is completely supported by cartilage based systems, which helps with two things. First, cartilage is lighter than bone, so they can swim faster; but also, it is more flexible, for faster turns and reactions. Their senses are unreal almost, they can 'smell' a drop of blood in over 1,000 gallons of water, making their tracking abilities for wounded sea animals unparalleled. Sharks continuously regrow teeth throughout their lives, and have... 27 rows of them(?)(Going based on memory here, I could look it up, but eh). They are highly feared by humans, even though they rarely attack them unprovoked.

Erm.. they're cool blooded and sometimes form support groups to stop eating fish, or so the media tells me lol
