Orochimaru Isn't Evil

Doing things for yourself isn't evil. Every human is selfish and ambitious. Orochimaru just wanted eternal life and all the world's jutsu. Just like Naruto wanted to be the Hokage, Orochimaru had a dream too. People cry and whine that Orochimaru is still free, that Naruto and Sasuke leave him be despite all his crimes against humanity.

The thing is, every renowned ninja were mass murders. Minato murdered thousands of shinobi. So did Jiraiya, Gai, Kakashi, Hashirama, Tobirama, Killer Bee, Dan, Sakumo, etc on all their missions. It was there orders.

Orochimarus only crime is that he killed without orders to do so.

Just because a mission requires you to kill someone doesn't make it better than killing without the orders to do so. It's still killing and the Hidden Villages aren't God. They don't get to decide what's a right kill or wrong kill anymore than Orochimaru does. They are just as guilty as he is and their atrocities stretch over generations, so Orochimarus atrocities pale in comparison to theirs.

If Orochimaru is evil then everyone who's killed someone is to. We need to acknowledge that deep down Orochimaru is a good and genuine man that let his ambition and thirst for immortality consume his honor. That's it, but he is not evil.

So are US marines the same as Orochimaru? The same Orochimaru the dissected and dismembered live test subjects? I personally think Orochimaru is the best character in Naruto with Itachi at a close second, but he's definitely what society would define as "evil"

It's still not evil. He didn't do it just for pleasure or just because. He did to to achieve a goal. You don't know what evil is it seems.

Why Jiriya or Minato killed was to defend their Village from the opposing force, during the war.
Why Oro killed the people was to achieve his own selfish desire or dream, regarding the well beings of others.

But none of them are God so they don't get to decide why or why not it's time to kill and for what reason. They're all equally guilty.

and Orichimaru is not evil, despite the fact that he used innocent people and children as test subjects for his experiences (which is even worse than killing them , ask Yamato about it) just so his selfish ass could be immortal ,

Evil is just a matter of perspective, as everything is judged by the foundations of one's moral beliefs. Even "guilty" is the product of your own ethical beliefs that uses what you find "right" and "wrong" to distinguish one side from another in a matter that is favorable or convenient to you. Itachi goes over this multiple times in the anime. What does it mean to be good or bad?

Well, everything depends on one's sense of morality. I agree it's questionable saying that Orochimaru wasn't evil, but when you look at it, hundreds of ninja do missions which include killing other people for money and stuff like that.

Of course you can find excuses to justify everything, but I don't think Orochimaru was more evil than any other ninja who killed someone out of selfish purposes.
