Soon I'll run out of space in my PS4 500 GB HDD. Currently the remaining space is 40GB, and I'm thinking of upgrading the PS4 HDD to 2TB. I wish to upgrade to 4TB, but it's a lot of hassle, so 2TB is safely sounding and hopefully it will be enough if I don't buy more and more games. So yeah, I did search here and there, and this is it:

SAMSUNG M9T 2TB 9.5mm (ST2000LM003) SATA 2.5 Inch Internal Hard Drive

Thoughts, guys?

It's definitely worth it imo. These days, you have games like Uncharted 4 at 56 GB and FFXV at 51 GB. And don't get me started with GTA V which is around 60 GB ish. I have about 25 Games with a 1TB HDD, and i have to shuffle my games from time to time hahaha. Just got Rise of The Tomb Raider today, and i had to delete Warframe just to make space for it :p

Idk 500 gb seems more than enough space to me unless you're playing like 10 games at once.

lol 500gb wasn't enough day one XD I bought a 2tb HD as soon as I bought my PS4 a few years ago and I have yet to ever worry about storage space. And I buy a lot of games - the majority of them digital. I believe I have bought somewhere in the ballpark of 80+ games digitally and I still have about 500gb remaining.

Some games I own them as a disk, and 9 other games I bought them digitally. Probably you could buy 40 games or less than that (if it ever happened) digitally.

Don't you delete the application after you either finish it or platinum it? If not then yeah you better upgrade.

I dunno how it feels after you "Platinum it". Supposedly it has more to it than just Platinum trophy. Items you unlocked, levels you reached. It's about replaying a game from the start with high-end items/weapons for revenge against enemies and monsters who gave you hard time. XD

I feel like that's a shitty gimmick... why force the gamers to delete their hard earn money spent games?

Not knocking sony cuz I'm PS all day, but jeez just go all out with the power and space on these things.

I have no doubt in my mind that these things could hold idek so much more than what they wanna give.

Especially with the amount of money the PS4 has made, jeez adding more space they would sell like hotter hot cakes.

You can actually manage with 500 if you're playing games to beat them and then proceed to delete right after(which is what I do). 2TB is way too big for me, even 1TB tbh

I ran out of space two months ago and had to delete like 3 games. I've been meaning to upgrade for a while. I'd go for 2TB as well.

Using all that storage on video games? And here I thought I was wasting my time with just Overwatch. Good God you need to get out more.

Give me other examples for the use of that storage, i only got like two games on PS4 plus all the other streaming applications.

Or... you can just uninstall games that you finished and won't play in the foreseeable future. But no, that would be too easy I guess.

I feel like I'll need to play those games again. It's kind of collecting/having a hoarding mentality. It's just hard to delete them and also don't you think it's kind of dumb that you have to pay so much for 1 game but if you wanna play more you got to put it aside?

Seems to be enough for me, but I don't download my games I buy the discs. I don't like the idea of the stores removing them at any point after I've spent money on them.

But I'm a colllector so discs are the way to go for me.

I usually delete games after i beat or get bored with them and i'm also a disc guy when it comes to the ps4 so 500gb is plenty of enough and perfectly manageable. I mean, i even had a fat 30gb ps3 back in the day and it still was manageable...
