So the switch even it finally over, thoughts? discussions?

I personally liked splatoon 2, super mario odyssey(should have been a launch title), what looks like mario kart 9 (even though it wasn't official can still be mk8 for all i know), and breadth of the wild (as expected)

ARMS looks.... fun. I like the concept.... reminiscent of wii sports boxing.

NO MORE HEROES 3 BABY!!!!

and that's about it.

The 2-6 hr battery life is concerning. And no actual talks on specs is disheartening but it runs skyrim !! that's something I guess.

What really upset me was the fact that they didn't say anything about storage. What are we looking at here? 16Gb? 32Gb? Expandable SD?

:wut:

They didn't knock it out the park but things might be looking up.

I've never been a huge Nintendo fan. Sure, like many other people, I was introduced to videogames by Nintendo (Gameboy Advance with Pokemon) and used to play a lot with the Nintendo DS. But since my teenage years, I've outgrown Nintendo. Their games don't appeal to me anymore and the hardware is just meh, compared with a PS4 or a decent PC.

The Switch console is overdesinged in my opinion. I appreaciate the creativity behind it, but I don't think it will establish itself in the long run. Personally, I don't want to carry my games around with me, nor do I want to move around while playing games. Neither do I need those weird controls - which have to prove themselves anyway, since I think the slide-mechanism will wear out and eventually break the "Joy-Cons" pretty quickly.

I'll rather stick with PC and PS4.

Too expensive when you consider that online is no longer free to play as well as the overpriced controllers and docking station.

How? ps4 costs the same.
Xbox is only like 50 bucks cheaper.

I do agree that the dock and extra controllers are expensive. but the cost of the unit itself falls inline with what's currently on the market. Not even mentioning the premium stuff like psvr, or ps4 pro ,or scorpio.

As for online play, PS4 and Xbox One already have a huge online user base but Nintendo's online foundations have been shaky so them charging online is a risky move. I didn't say the unit itself is overpriced but considering 32 GB only, it may very well be a tad bit.
