It wasn't that sasuke lost, but it was that Naruto got what he wanted. Sasuke to declare defeat. It was still a draw tho. Sasuke realistically won that fight.

There's no way Sasuke wouldn't have been able to break Naruto's defenses now that I re-read Vote 2. Naruto should have died.

As you can see from the red, Sasuke had his Sharingan activated meaning it should have been an easy counter and the point of impact proved it broke through

If Naruto was saved by plot because of being a main then so was sasuke who is also a main character. Deidara, Orochimaru, and Kbee all shoul've killed him yet he lived due to plot. it goes both ways with the only difference being that despite not even going for a kill Naruto still bested him.

I mean, he could just put Naruto under genjutsu once Kurama went to sleep. Besides chidori, Sasuke had enough chakra for ems and kagutsuchi, instead of using these 2, he could just use chidori alone to bait Kurama into giving his remaining chakra to Naruto, and then genjutsu him during final clash.
