Excluding the ninjas that have healing capabilities Deidara has shown to be pretty tough he lost one arm to Gaara's Sand Burial and another arm to Kakashi's Kamui Snipe. On top of losing both arms he still survived a run in with a Kyuubi Cloaked Naruto and evading Team Guy with just a kunai in his mouth. Gotta give respect when its due

Sasuke = Managed to endure all the emotion pain of his clan's death, itachi's and his family. Also way forced to go all out with MS and cause him extreme amount of pain. He almost went blind. His pain tolerance is immense.

Itachi = Lived with a painful disease most of his life. Almost went blind with the MS as well. Endured so much more pain emotionally as well.

It's Jiraiya and it's not even close.

Blown off arm.
Crushed trachea.
6 rods through his heart, liver, kidney, lungs, spine,

And he stilled willed himself back up. One of the truest shinobi ever.

After that it's probably Ay. No one in the series casually cuts off their own harm without so much as flinching them casually right back into combat mode on the hint for his enemy.

Oh yeah, definitely Ay and Jiraya. Those 2 were beasts!

Hidan tho.

Hidan was a masochist, he doesn't count.

Immortality helps alot with him having great pain tolerance

No it doesn't. It just stops it from killing him, but there ain't any pain tolerance to it.

Ill give you jiraiya but Ay's injury was based on stupidity and pride especially knowing your enemy is using Amaterasu to rotect himself but Deidara should easily be at the top of the list since he literally defended himself from attacks with no arms bro

Hidan gets horny off pain tho. That's different IMO. Itachi endured crippling pain throughout his adulthood, while Hidan causes himself pain because he gets high off of it. It doesn't "hurt" him.

So...........masochists don't feel pain because they don't feel pain from pain.

Wut.

Masochists feel pain differently than normal people do. For normal people, pain hurts. For masochists, pain is a high and they get off on it. They get horny off of it. So it's basically not pain for them as pain represents something that physically or emotionally pains you.

Uh... no it doesn't? Being able to survive any attack doesn't suddenly make your nerve endings stop working.

Once again, that has nothing to do with the pain he would have endured because of it.

I don't think you have a firm grasp on what pain tolerance is.

I don't see how the idea of him reacting to pain differently affects his ability to take it.

That doesn't change the physical aspect of pain.

People who enjoy spicy food feel the same chemical reactions in their tongue and brain as those who do not enjoy spicy food. The difference is those who enjoy it want to feel that pain, while those who don't, don't.

The point here is pain tolerance, not "who got up after most damage". That said, Hidan has poor pain tolerance. A good blow can stagger him just like it would any other person. When dealt an ugly wound he'll either react like he's high (leaving a huge opening) or cry like a ***** (aside from enjoying the pain, he occasionally complained how much something hurt implying he also reacts negatively to certain pain) and both of these are bad mid-combat because they leave the opponet with additional chance to get their attacks in.

Compare this to Madara who was shot by a dozen of sand bullets and had his arm pierced and cut off without flinching or with Ay who cut of his arm like it was nothing and you'll see that Hidan has nothing exceptional when it comes to pure pain tolerance.

So because he can cut off his own arm you put him above Deidara? please explain

If person A and B both took a swig of hot sauce that was fairly hot and person A wasn't affected as much versus person B who had a really hard time with it. They both experienced the same cause, but not the same pain. Person A wasn't feeling much pain while person B did feel more.

I don't see how the idea of him reacting to pain differently affects his ability to take it.

Because "pain" for him is not the same for others. for him, pain is a high. It doesn't hurt him. He isn't suffering from it.
