Jiraya contacts Tsunade for assistance!

Scenario 1: Tsunade arrives around the time Jiraya figures out the secret of Pain. She manages to intercept the blow that causes Jiraya to lose his arm. She starts in byakugo mode and Jiraya informs her of what he learned.

Scenario 2: Tsunade arrives to aid him just after he is done fighting konan and begins to fight the paths alongside him.

This is just for fun because I am bored and I want to see what people think.

A restricted pain forced Naruto to rely on kyuubi. god forbid what a full power pain combo is capable of.

The author already said with prior intel knowing the real one wasn't among them, Jman would have defeated Pain.

With restrictions like in cannon as pain couldn't use ST coz he'd damage the city, Jman might win, without it they lose. Pain is too strong.

Well i'm talking about the exact version of him that faced off with Jiraya. None of us exactly know what a full power pain is cuz hes been drained for most of the time we knew of him.

The author already said with prior intel knowing the real one wasn't among them, Jman would have defeated Pain.

Which is why I thought people would think they scenario one would be at least high diff or a possible win since he would not have lost that arm and then would probably survive from there on because Tsunade was there to back him up.

Together they would give him a run for his money, but eventually the'd still lose.

Doesn't matter what the author stated if such doesn't make sense in the end. The author stated Itachi, and Kisame would have trouble vs Jiraiya, clearly this isn't true.

Or that Sasori was stronger than Deidara, yet many argue Deidara being the superior. etc. etc. Just because Kishimoto stated such regarding x > y (character > character), doesn't make it true when their abilities profess otherwise.

Except he would have. Recreate the scenario but give Jiraiya intel that they're 6 bodies and the real one isn't among them. Fight goes exact same way except Jiraiya drags the fight on to bring out all 6 bodies then Frog Genjutsu OHKO all of them. Jiraiya locates Pain then kills him and Konan. End of story.

I like to think this is what would happen, ideally one still ends up escaping with more straight forward intel. Cuz the stomp from jiraya losing his arm to the death would not have happened as easy with Tsunade there backing him up at all.

Honestly, I think that although feats show otherwise, that's only applicable to our own debates. But if the writer of a story thinks a character is stronger than another i'm on their side... because well if that fight happened after it was said i mean they have the power to make it happen.

But I think it was pretty realistic for him to win this pain fight if he had found out sooner. Which is why I thought with late game backup in scenario 1, people would say he could possible pull the win with assistance from tsunade.

Except he'd never get the jutsu off with all 6 of them there obviously lol.
