Sorry! Not while Shinji Ikari exists.

I can see why a Sasuke fan would go for that trope of character though. Never really been my thing.

I also personally like Light Yagami, Maka Albarn, Ed Elric and Rin Okumura.

lol nope.

Rin's just a personal fav there, he's just intensely likeable without being that deep or interesting.

Shinji might be the most developed and tortured lead in anime whilst Light has the most going on from his introduction. I like them the same.

Light trumps him till the last part of death note. That's where his character becomes careless while lelouch's character blooms as the story progresses so i guess lelouch did have the last laugh. Though it's personal preference but i think lelouch and light tie at 1st place.

Light Yagami >>>

Not even bro lelouch> light and code grass as a whole > death note plot wise there's still so much shit to explain in death note like how the book fully works where it came from would it only work on humans or humanoids etc

Maybe, but Light in the end become a jerk.

I mean...he's an undebateable sociopath since the first episode with no friends and an untapped God complex whose bottom line for doing everything was boredom.

But every fan's opinion on where Light stops being a moral good hero is different and that's another really cool thing about DN.

Not even bro lelouch> light and code grass as a whole > death note plot wise there's still so much shit to explain in death note like how the book fully works where it came from would it only work on humans or humanoids etc

How does that affect how complex the morality of DN is? Or how deeply wrong every character in the story is? That's just world-building lore, nothing to get hung up on. Also humanoids? ...In Death note?

Nah, DN > CG, Code Geass at times would do things just for the sake of juicing up the plot vs what actually makes sense logically. In that sense DN explained almost every move Light and L made, and had proper reasonings behind the turnouts.

In Code Geass that wasn't always the case for example when Euphemia starting shooting everyone, that was a lazy way of juicing up the plot, Lelouch just "happened" to make a stupid mistake which was so important for driving the plot forward, he could have gave any order as an example, like pass the pizza, instead to make things progress the author had him say something so exaggerated.

As for Lelouch and Light, that's more of a preference thing, Light was much more consistent of a character though, that's for sure. Lelouch at times was all over the place.

Yes but again that made complete sense, the death of L made him careless as there was no one to keep him in check. Light from a few years ago was on his toes he would have never made the mistake he made at the end, that was a reflection of him becoming too comfortable.

Agreed Lelouch and code geass in general was badass. One of the best anti hero's. :lol At light he's top 5 but not better than Lelouch.

Lelouch is one of my favorites BUT I can think or a couple of characters that are better than him such as Johan Liebert, Dr. Tenma, Spike Speigel, and Reinhard von Lohengramm as a couple of examples

Agreed, though I am not so into Rin Okumara. I preferred his twin brother. I was very much absorbed with Light, but not that much with Lelouch.
