Your education has hopefully benefited someone; but you haven't said anything about how it "feels" to love

Well, I said multiple times each type of love has a different feeling. Do you want me to specify how I feel for each type? That seems like a lot of useless information. I can sum it up with "it feels good."

I've never felt it, but it's a nice weakness to exploit in others.

Being in love hurts. And I am its willing victim. I've been madly in love with this girl for over 2years now, I haven't confessed my love for fears of being turned down, and that I might lose interest in her if I get accepted. A conundrum I tell you, but its what's been keeping me alive.

I wouldn't mind love if I knew that the recipient of my love was interested in me, however, I don't have a great amount of self-confidence so I find love to be a nuisance if it isn't of any greater help.

And if the object of your love is aware of it, especially if they're female, they'll exploit it as Odin said above. And if you have a sharp enough mind, or at least one full of intellect, you'll be able to see through their manipulations. And it hurts to know that they're manipulating you despite not reciprocating.

Nope, it's true.. when you are in love, that person become the center of the universe for a while.

Center of the universe? There is no truth when it comes to love, a human can be in love with multiple persons at once.

Love is different for everyone, as I stated before, love at first for me was a sort of druggy feeling that I had when around those that I had those heavy feelings for, but now it's sort of an emotion I'd rather be in semi control of.

Love is never always right or appropriate, I have a massive crush on a woman that has an age-gap between the two of us, I know that we will never be together due to her marriage and children but still my mind directs my feelings toward her despite these circumstances. Love is not definite, you can't say what it is or is not, it's an entity that does as it pleases.

I doubt that is the case.

It feels that way when you fall deeply in love with someone. You don't care if the world is burning. The only thing that matters is her. Trust me. I hope you find that one day.

Exactly, even you know that you will die in next hour, even the entire world hate you or something else, you are the most happy person alive, doesn't care about anything else, this is the best feeling in the world. :)

These feelings can easily cause pain and mental battles, when the person those strong feelings are reserved for, does not reciprocate. Trust me, I'm feeling that pain right now because I know this woman I have these feelings for will not and cannot reciprocate, even if she wanted to.

It feels great at first, amazing even, your want and need to see that person is immense. But once you realize the world doesn't revolve around the love you have, it become's a rather annoying emotion.

But I understand your favor of the emotion, I feel it sometimes myself, but the emotion has gone a little numb. I'd rather it not feel so numb but I can't really help it. Sorry to sound pessimistic, but I feel the need to express my feelings for some reason. Lol

This will sound rude, but don't be a wuss and confess. You have nothing to lose.

I would rather not confess to her, it would ruin the already platonic and completely nonexistent relationship we have. It would make things awkward and unwanted, I'm fifteen and she's probably in her thirties. It's probably something I'll have to let pass despite her incredibly innocent and alluring appearance.

The "only" thing that matters is her? That is arrogance and corruption not love. You will only fall in a pit of despair like that.

Somewhat true, but what he's saying is that your love and loyalty to her feels..euphoric in a sense. His wording probably isn't exactly what you think it means, seeing as though people use that phrase: "no one else matters".

Why does being in love suck?
Because you think about the person 24X7, take care of how you look, think of what she thinks, when you talk you think about why she used that particular word instead of it's another synonym and blah blah..
It doesn't suck after you cross a threshold and arrive at a 'stagnant phase', but since very few relationships can cross that threshold and arrive at a 'stagnant phase', in general we can say it sucks.

I don't know, it feels like you escape cruelties of this world when you are with her(I mean you can forget you a poor, ugly, etc bastard when you're with her), it's like you want to squash her with a teddy bear hug, when she is happy it's better day at least, constantly looking at your phone for her annoyance etc

Exactly my point, it's overbearing at one point. Why can't we just be attracted but not mentally devoted all at once?
