With a sharingan and a rinnegan as powerful as his, backstabbing him is next to impossible.

Well, I disagree with doing 1 vs 1, if u say winning, I won't comment. Winning against madara is kind of an impossible. But we can get to see some dangerous fights against madara. A fight worth calling a 1 vs 1.

Gai vs Madara
Orochimaru vs Madara (Orochi has lots of secret things up his sleeve and has probably more knowledge than madara and remember knowledge is power)
