I never found Big Mom particularily impressive and this chapter just crushed the little hype i had from Big Mom. I don't even know what to say at this point about her. On the other side though, Brook was badass as hell standing his ground against her with his own convictions and even calling her a "Young Lady" in her face lol. For Sanji we already got his emotional chapter last week, so i personally didn't feel anything concerning it during this one. Maybe Oda just wanted to intensify the Pudding hate by drawing him crying though. And of course, my man Jinbe is back, but i hope he lost nothing :(

Why was your hype crushed? The panel of her facing off with Brook is one of the best in the series.

The page was awesome i agree with that, most likely even one of the greatest drawn page i've seen from Big Mom yet, but she looked a little bit too "serious" to the point of bringing out Promotheus and Zeus where major of her hype come from with blaze and fire everyone wondering why Brook continues to stand implying that he tanked some of her attacks. Of course we all know she'd crush Brook, but never would i have imagined Oda portraying a yonko this way. It's as if you were seeing Kaido in a full scale fight with someone like Senor Pink(with everything destroyed around them). Doesn't look good at all just for his image sake

The thing I like most about this chapter that all the broken records are back again, desperately playing the Sanji is pathetic tune. I kinda feel bad because they're presenting it like they found it out themselves and are presenting it as some kind of big revelation. In the meanwhile everyone else has read the same chapter and sees that Oda's message is basically the same.

There is one exception however that Sanji now has hit rock bottom, and every moment from here on out will be redemption of 6 months of suffering. So it's funny to see self proclaimed haters already covering their bases by saying that even if Sanji redeems himself he can never come back from shedding tears.

Must be weird to see that some characters have more emotions and reactions to certain situations than to say "I'm going to punch you". Sanji's backstory is really wasted on the people who have been coming in these threads for months only to trash talk him. You've missed big parts of the message that Oda is trying to tell you in this arc. So it's understandable that some people claim this arc is 'boring'.

You know who you are when you're reading this, enjoy the tears of Sanji. I hope they taste extra salty because it was the last one you will get, the gloves are off now.

On another note, Brook is being an enormous bad ass. It feels like he has a plan in place, maybe he used his fruit somehow to already have a copy of the stone. By now we know that if an SH says he will do something he will do it no matter what. So sooner or later Brook will bring that copy home. Can't wait.

Chopper and Carrot are almost out, of course with perfect timing.

And Boss Jimbei is back. Looks like he has 2 hands, 2 legs, a head and 2 eyes. So what was his price to pay ? Did he have to pay up in life span or did he get lucky. Or maybe he Fishman Island will be punished.

Since we were not supposed to get this chapter now, I think we're ahead of schedule. Which probably means 2 weeks without chapters now.

So see you in 2017 One Piece.

The thing is, Oda would probably be genuinely really sad if he read some of these replies One thing that always stuck wit me was an SBS where a fan asked him a question about the world or character relationships or something. I can't remember exactly what it was, but they pointed out something about the story aspect and worldbuilding of OP and its characters, and Oda was gushing in his answer, which started with "Yes! These are the kinds of things I love to see submitted." It's kinda sad how much these fools are missing the point cuz you know it'd bum the hell outta Oda.

Thanks Sherlock, would have never guessed an author would be unhappy about unhappy fans.

Maybe this will shift that Yonkou > Admiral notion spreading.

Usually when characters haven't fought the fandom hypes them more so than ones that have already been revealed, now that we're seeing Big Mom isn't even really matching that humongous Yonkou hype the fandom placed on them, I think things will settle down.

I don't recall actually seeing Jinbei's feet though.

That is not what he said, but it further proves the point that you're unable to understand the underlying message.
That is exactly what he said, the details are irrelevant. That is essentially what it boils down to whether its because of misinterpretation or not.

Who gives a **** about whether or not you've had guessed that? It doesn't make what I said any less true or relevant to the topic. Just like the story, you've completely missed the point of my post. Stop stepping out of your paygrade, understanding underlying points clearly isn't your thing, surface reader.

You do? You are so worried about my opinion, how many times have you cried about Oda being saddened by it? Lmfao, reaching for "underlying message" for everything is not helping your case here, when I'm literally only talking about the surface itself.

The underlying message would not have changed if one panel of Sanji crying wasn't shown my friend. Get that one through your head.

I'm glad you had nothing to say, better this than try your hand at another retarded reply.
What more is there to say to a person like you? You're issue begins and ends with "Sanji cried." Your shallow problem is based on a shallow outlook. When people tried to bring the full depth of the situation into the topic, you said "No, I don't want details. I don't want depth. I want to look at just the surface."

What is there to say to a person that willfully chooses to look at something from a narrow, simple tunnel-vision-like viewpoint, and refuses to acknowledge all deeper parts of the topic? Note how you started saying "Sanji is crying over Pudding," and as soon as people started bringing up the full scope of the situation, as soon as people started bringing up trauma and torture and the death of loved ones that adds depth to what you're criticizing, you suddenly changed to "Oda didn't need to draw Sanji crying to make the point."

The simple truth is, you just want to whine about something, and the only way you can justify it is by looking at the surface and keeping your viewpoint shallow. With something that has as much as depth as this arc and why Sanji is crying, there is simply nothing for you to say or that can be said to you because you want this to exist in purely a vacuum.

Yes because the depiction of a character isn't a worthy enough topic.

Why Sanji is crying? Is that supposed to be some sort of groundbreaking discovery over here? Stop acting like Sherlock with the most obvious reasons, that's probably the most annoying thing.

Character development and depiction is a topic worthy of depth?

The reasons are obvious, and yet you still go about wah-wah'ing about how it was "Pudding, just Pudding, all Pudding, look at what he's doing over Pudding."
