Sasuke is Boruto's master.
Konohamaru is Boruto's sensei.
Boruto is Naruto's son.
Konohamaru WILL be the 8th Hokage (if I had it my way), but it's not like this image is about the Hokage, being that Jiraiya wasn't one.
Konohamaru isn't Naruto's pupil or student anyway.

The Leaf's master-sensei-student-pupil lineage is all over the place. The Hokage lineage, too, especially if Sarada's gonna be the 9th. Well, she'd be the 8th's student so that'd make sense, but she'd be the first Uchiha.

Related fun fact: only the Mizukages have no family ties. Every other Kage lineage of the Five Great Hidden Villages does.

I would agree that Boruto wouldn't be apart of this image because he's apart of a new era, but Minato having died young makes you wrong imo. Those five shinobi all didn't look like that, at those ages, at any point of time due to Minato's early death. So this image already isn't accurate in that sense. So adding Boruto to it wouldn't make it look or feel any more off.

Look at Kakashi...he's unfortunately garbage to have been the 6th Hokage. But being the Hokage isn't just about being strong.

Kakashi is smart, well known and a very renowed shinobi. Everybody fears him and enemies don't play when he is around. He's also the sensei of the strongest team in NV who stopped the war.

I think this pic symbolized that story began with 3rd Hokage and through the master-apprentice chain will end at Naruto as Hokage.
And through out the first half of story, Konhamaru was seriously on the road to become Hokage after Naruto... Him taking down a Pain's path isn't just random stuff, it holds value.

But lot was changed and a lot more was introduced very late in the story.
