with the new design i was hoping to see a crazy power up. golden rinnegan? hahahaha, what trash, was even with base naruto, got overpowered as soon as the cloak came out(only good thing from chapter), didnt even get to knock out sasuke like he did in th movie and his "avatar" still got one shoted by a blade swing.

Well they assumed he was a bigger threat because Kaguya was afraid of him. In reality she was afraid of him for the simple fact that he is the perfect counter to her own power.

I was under the impression that in the movie he was bested in outright battle, where as in the manga he just obliterated every last Kage until Naruto and Sasuke decided to work together and even then he bested them all in battle. (Judging by the final pages where he has the upper hand.) How is that weak exactly? He is up against all the Kage, Naruto and Sasuke. Just staying alive is a feat of godly level at this point. Being able to best them in combat on numerous occasions? That is a completely new level of over-powered.
