Not gonna lie. It would be pretty bad-ass to see Kenjutsu and Gentle Fist being worked together.

The only thing boring is the MC of a ninja series not using any weapons. Naruto already spammed Taijutsu, we gotta see something else. They definitely made the right move.

A lot of fan's argued that Naruto should of used weapons, Sasuke probably would not have been nerfed with his own sword if that was the case. Plus, if Boruto is being trained by him. You don't know how far he'll go with the sword.

Second of all, Himawari was also named after the Hyuuga-house. Boruto being named after Neji doesn't really mean much if he has more Naruto-esque abilities and favors Ninjutsu over Gentle Fist style/Hyuuga abilities/Byakugan.
