With the anime starting in April 2017 to be (presumably) aired on a weekly basis, the anime will be way ahead of the manga (presuming they maintain monthly releases) by month 2.
Has this sort of thing happened before with a series or does it look like they might cancel the manga and release all new material via anime?
I don't imagine the manga ratings are very high at the moment with the repeat of material from the movie and the fact that it's a monthly release with inconsistent release dates. The release dates are all over the place.
And they'd better not be planning on repeating the movie material in the anime like they did with DBZ Battle of the gods or using a bunch of got damn filler episodes to buy time for the manga.
If they needed time for the manga to get a lot of material ahead of the anime, it would've made better sense to just animate all the novels IMO.
Any thoughts on this?
