No because as a pirate who is becoming Pirate King he has no interest in hunting bounties.

So if you would change his personality so much that luffy wants to hunt bounties he has to have a reason to do so. Like feeding himself, or greed or whatever I don't think he would have any aspirations to become Pirate King.

Zoro basically put his Bounty hunter days behind him to achieve a greater goal. Because being a bounty hunter is not really an end goal. It's more a way of life or how you used to earn your money.

Probably to catch the pirate king. I could see the pirate king doing something that ruined his life and he vows to take down the pirate king and all the pirates along the way.

This reminds me of something one piece is lacking. Top tier or high tier bounty hunters. We see pirates with huge bounties but no one is there to collect on them. It would be nice to see some sort of upper tier opponents whose goal it is to collect on big bounties.

I agree with you 100% he would hunt for the ultimate bounty which would be the Pirate Kings.

Because there is no point. If you have to power to take someone down with a bounty for an X amount I'm sure you yourself would be able to to gather the money through other less dangerous methods.

Example: When Luffy was 300 Million. With that power he could easily rob banks or defeat medium sized foes.

At 500 like he is now he can run a country like Crocodile and Doffy did and profit from blackmail

At 1B he can run a territory like big mom and have a big economy between multiple islands and have a constant fleet working for you.

So I f you have the strength to beat one of those, why not become one ?

Because some people don't want to be a pirate. I guess you could join the marines too, but you can't exactly do that and make bank I wouldn't think.

It doesn't have to be considered a "dangerous method" if the bounty hunter is strong af..

There is a point.. the character loves doing it. Plain and simple.

Why can't there be a character who enjoys beating the crap out of the people who think they're the strongest..? And receiving large sums of money to do so at that..

Why can't that character also enjoy their freedom?

Why can't that character be a loner who doesn't want to deal with all of the stuff you mentioned?

Because you're naive and it doesn't work that way.

If you're strong enough to beat someone on a certain level, you can get away with that a couple of times before someone on a higher level notices you and you will get screwed.

Just look at the whole New World domino effect Luffy set off by beating Ceasar Clown, he is now in the crosshairs of two yonkou after a pitstop fighting Doflamingo.

If your known as a bounty hunter in the pirate world and you're making name for yourself, you don't have freedom at all. Because there will be bounty hunter hunters coming for you just as fast.

I see what you mean. But the yonko are in the same situation aren't they. If the bouny hunter is strong enough then he can hold his own unless the yonkou themselves come after him. But it isn't impossible to imagine a situation where a bounty hunter at this level has a place. You just aren't being imaginative at all.

It would serve a great balance in the story if at some point in the story we see a league or end state of high level bounty hunters to sort of justify the incredible bounties that are sor of unreachable unless you are high tier marine or a high tier pirate. Neither of the two need bounties. Marines can simply be ordered to capture and pirates cant cash out on bounties. But a coalition or a group of bounty hunters to rival the three power would bring everything into a clean cut level.

Names? Like the 5 bounty hunting gods. Or maybe a certian level or reward collected earns you the title of Akuma hantā or devil hunter.

Solid point in the constructs of this world but a counter example would be Crocodiles organization. If bounty hunters were organized and headed by someone to rival upper echelon groups the same could be said about big names hitting bounty hunters.

For example

Bounty hunter A B and C are all Yonko level fighters and they are in charge of an organization "X".X Has 30 Yonko captain level fighters, 50 shichibukai level fighters, 200 Vice admiral level fighters and 1000 new world entry level fighters and 5000 grand line level fighters. A whopping total of 6283. It doesn't make sense for organization X to challenge yonko because they can lose their 6283 force and then be a target for other yonko who all have a mutual gain by snuffing them out. Same for a yonko, they lose the power to hold their title if they challenge organization X, even if they lose their first mate they risk losing their entire crew.

If he become a bounty hunter he usually prevents everyone from becoming a pirate king
