raikiri is just a stronger version of chidori.

If kakashi made two clones, Each having the exact same chakra/strength, Have one use raikiri and the other chidori and have them clash, The clone with raikiri would win.

Same jutsu, but one is stronger than the other. Chidori is only Raikiri because Kakashi enhanced it.

Same damn jutsu, different name. Gai outright says it. Chidori is the proper name for the damn technique.

We had this discussion on NF a few weeks ago. They are the exact same jutsu, raikiri is simply an alternative name (Gai and Sasuke confirm this). P1 Kakashi's Raikiri was stronger than Sasuke's Chidori for obvious reasons. However, are you going to say that Kakashi's usage is forever better b/c he calls it Raikiri? Even Rinnegan Sasuke calls it Chidori....when PS uses it it's called Chidori. The name is completely irrelevant.

No. I only said Raikiri came into being because Kakashi enhanced his Chidori after saying it's the same jutsu. We are literally saying the same thing here so I have no idea why you are replying to me as if I'm saying Chidori<Raikiri no matter the user despite saying the opposite many many many times in the past. Lmao. Use your brain.

Raikiri exhibits greater change in chakra because it accomplishes everything Chidori does along with fashioning the discharged lightning into a blade. That's really the only difference from what I can tell.

Rubbish. You were already refuted on this point on NF. The jutsu have the exact same shape. Show us what "fashion the lightning into a blade" means or gtfo.

The only one who has ever fashioned chidori into a sword is Sasuke (Chidori eiso).

That's what is said in the DB, but in the manga Gai and Sasuke explain clearly that Raikiri is just a nickname.

Raikiri is the improper name for Chidori. There cannot be anything absolutely enhanced about it since enhancement is a relative term (in the Naruto context).

Which is irrelevant to the point. I never said it wasn't a nickname nor did I say that the name had anything to do with the power in general terms. Kakashi made his Chidori stronger thus he started to call it Raikiri.

Where is the manga proof of this? Gai says it is nicknamed Raikiri b/c Kakashi allegedly cut a lightning bolt with it. Is there a manga reference that I'm missing?

It's obvious that Kakashi calls it Raikiri b/c it is a name that strikes fear in the hearts of enemies.

That's what the databook's info leads to. Stop arguing that there is zero difference between both jutsu when one is A-Ranked and the other is S-Ranked. If there were zero difference you wouldn't see different ranks for each jutsu.

Let me ask you, do you believe Amaterasu is as hot as the sun?

No, now let me ask you a question. Are you dishonest and deluded enough to equate databook hyperbole to rank assignments for Ninjutsu?

I refuted that outlandish claim because Chidori Eisou is a spear, not a blade. Kishimoto notes a difference, so your superficial view over the manga doesn't contradict what's established in the Databook.

Ninjutsu rank was something created in the databook. It has basis in the manga. For your information, the databook isn't actually penned by Kishimoto.

Let me say this once again, show me how the appearance of the two differs, or gtfo.

That's an example of a superficial observation.

Show me how Kishimoto directly denoted a similarity between them or gtfo.

Lmao. The databook does nothing but explain the Manga. The databook not being penned by Kishimoto doesn't mean that it doesn't reflect what he wants it to reflect. That is unless there is a specific contradiction, which there isn't.

There is zero difference between Chidori and Lightning Blade. It's just a nickname given to it because Kakashi cut a bolt with it:

This was originally an S rank Jutsu, as Kakashi invented it. A rank has nothing to do with power by the difficulty of the "learning curve." S means "secret" according to DBIV. After Kakashi taught it to Sasuke, it obviously dropped down a rank, as it was no longer a Secret tech known to Kakashi only, and the learning curve was easier as he already knew the Jutsu.

Stating that Kakashi's Raikiri is stronger is straight up nonsense that has no backing in the manga.

Where is the manga proof of this? Gai says it is nicknamed Raikiri b/c Kakashi allegedly cut a lightning bolt with it. Is there a manga reference that I'm missing?

Don't bother. There is literally nothing in the manga to support this claim. Sasuke's Chidori feats are stronger because he can focus them on lesser fingers and his chakra is stronger. Otherwise, it's the same thing.

It should be hotter. The temp of the surface of the sun is nothing special. It's well under 6000 K.
