What in the world happened with Mito Uzumaki that saw her village and people being destroyed and used and did absolutely nothing?

She saw her people being used and treated like trash and everything she could say was:

Mito could have said something to Kushina stand up and save their people from decline, I mean, the most powerful jinchuuriki is the Nine Tails', isnt' it?
Do they even know how much power do they have? Even Naruto became angry at the situation.

I wonder if she had respect for her village since the beggining, because she gave her life to Konoha and not her OWN village.

And please, do not come at me with "Noooooo, she was old and could do nothing......."

She had:

-The Nine Tails in her power
-Was regarded as a powerful kunoichi even by Madara
-Apparently had diplomatic skills and power as an Uzumaki senior
-And: Madara was even older and could summon Gedou Mazou, control a village and plot world domination

Is her hype false?

One thing about hype in Naruto; never trust it.

Most likely XD

I can't believe too in the fact that Mito had almost 5 lines in the manga and we can find so many fails and weaknesses on her XD

SHE WAS A SLAVE. given to the leaf as a part of a treaty, no matter her power she was too precious to loose. It was Tsunade who let Naruto not suffer the same fate.
Also she had the Sakura effect.
not matter her potenital, she couldn't outshine her male counterparts

Nothing suggest she was a "slave". And nothing suggest the treaty between Eddie Village and Senju Clan prevented Mito for fighting back. The fact is they had many enemies. Therefore, they had no choice but to split and flee.

Who knows ? Maybe Uzumaki had special faith so it does not bother her so much. I mean they summoned ****ing freaking God of Death. So for them death could be as form of freedom rather then end of road. Or as clan of scholars they had records from beginning of Shinobi era and it was honor for them to carry Bijuu.
Or maybe they were happy giving middle finger to everyone that it was only them who had fuinjutsu and body capable of carrying Kyuubi. So Alas poor fodders were angry while Uzumakis had fun from laughing at them poor lesser life forms.

sometimes we have to realize that some events in the story MUST happen to move the story onwards even if in theory there are ppl who could stop them. Remember that the plot is predicted by kishi's pencil and none of these characters have free will. It feels like a lot of ppl don't know that.

I agree. She had the hype, and even being the most powerful jinchuuriki she ruined it. But you might be right: she seemed conformed.

You are right, but even so it's terrible to see an epic character low their head as she did.

Like I've said previously, the Uzumaki were taken out strategically by higher powers like Danzo, Orochimaru or even Obito (Madara by default) because of their abilities to tame Tailed Beast. Mito wasost likely dead when all that sh!t happen!

Actually, I believe she was alive when all of this happened because Kushina said her village was already destroyed, and during that time Kushina interacted with Mito. I agree that some people involved with Danzou's ideas destroyed Uzushiogakure, but what makes you think that she was dead?

Because the DB says she was dedicated to her clan and village so it would be odd for her not to have any type of reaction.

Yes, by what Kishi and the characters say about her with no doubt she would find a way, but if that's sadly not the case, one could not blame her, as the same happened with Madara and Hashirama (both couldn't protect their clan and village of darkness).

Not true, the Senju thrived in the lead village and the Uchiha accepted their position in it by rejecting Marada. So I wouldn't go that route, I would instead say it's because of bad writing.

I guess this route is quite possible too.

We hardly have the slightest of details regarding the destruction of her village, so saying she did nothing without knowing more about what happened is wrong.
