Exactly how powerful is base Hokage Naruto? I mean he turned boruto's Ping-Pong rasengan into a spirit bomb with yellowish(yang?) chakra in the center.

I mean the technique was so powerful it obliterated a shinju and created a valley before entering orbit and exploding completely obliterating momoshiki otsutsuki. ​

The "Yellow'ish" color left in Boruto's Rasengan is Naruto's chakra that is visible. In the manga, each character have a different color to their chakra if it is potent enough. (Or because they are just unique, I dunno.) Naruto's color is yellow, another example would be that Sasuke's is a dark purple in color. There have been several movies where this have been implemented even though it was ignored for the most of the anime. Such as the 4th Shippuden movie (I think) where Minato make an appearance and show that his color is green.

As for his power-level. This technique was proof that Naruto still possess a immense amount of chakra and it was stated that he couldn't go all out against Momoshiki because of the destructive capabilities of their powers and he didn't want to risk Konoha and those that lived there. Though the amount of chakra doesn't equal direct power, and we are talking base form here. In which he would be severely weaker.

As i've been saying countless times base naruto chakra is already on the level of juubi jins in potency. That's just how strong adult naruto is now. He might have gotten weaker in physical aspects but when it comes to chakra,it's off the charts. It's amazing how the first time we ever see adult naruto using ninjutsu(except shadow clones) it turns out to be so beastly.

If base naruto chakra is already as powerful as juubi-jins chakra. Imagine naruto adding
Full kurama chakra to that powerful base chakra
+ all the other tailed beasts chakra
+ six paths senjutsu chakra
+ All the natural energy on earth xd

Naruto is an absolute monster,no wonder i made a thread about him being able to match or surpass kaguya chakra power. He could even fly to space and absorb the sun's energy. What a beast.

Well it was established that Naruto's chakra is yellow and that the Rasengan is suppose to be yellow. (At least when used by him.) The movies have also done this in the past, so saying that is the reason is not a stretch and there is nothing to imply that it it just a visual effect of Boruto's Rasengan.

Base Naruto would also die to a direct hit from a Chidori. (That also includes no Jesus Kurama healing him.) In-fact, they would both pretty easily from a direct hit. The thing is though, they are damn near impossible to hit.

Which is how Chidori works, it aims directly for someone's weakpoint. Where as the Rasengan aims for the main portion of the target and explodes. They are both deadly, but for different reasons.

pain died from a direct hit, so have multiple other people, if it hit his heart he would have died, rasengan only needs to hit you and you die.
