.....That Madara took Izuna's eyes by force to obtain power?

Well, we later discovered that Izuna was actually dying and not Madara. Madara was not needing a new light nor was Izuna. It was a sacrifice to protect his brother Madara and his clan! Madara, in reality, never wanted him to die and would go insane if it happened so.

The thing is - Tobirama killed Izuna. But this is what I wonder: why the shinobi world only got to see the lie of Madara killing his only brother left? (I wonder if Tobirama is responsible for this more one fail)

In my opinion, it only reinforces the idea that not only Madara was bombed with bad propaganda (even if he tried to protect his dear ones, differently of what people and gossip said), but also the Uchiha clan as a whole.

Looks like the Uchiha Clan were having conflict with themselves. And end, they sided with Hashirama. Madara, their own leader, tried to convince them and they rejected him.

Not only that, I would go as far as saying that Hashirama had more influence in the Uchiha than Madara himself. Sadly, if it was only that everything would be fine because Hashirama actually wanted Madara as a leader with good reputation (remember that he said to Madara wait, then the people would see his qualitites). But Tobirama was around and as Hashirama couldn't control him, everything went downhill.

This thread is making me hate Tobirama since everything that you said seems like stuff that mainly involved him.

Is it XD?

But I was wondering when I made the thread if I could really write down : "Tobirama made all this happen and stuff", but actually, the Uchiha image was already scarred since imemorial times, Butsuma said they were more merciless than any other, Mito sensed his bad intentions etc.
Sadly, Madara suffered more because he embodied this propaganda as the most representative Uchiha leader since Indra (who didn't have a good reputation either).

They did. If i remember right they left because they thought Madara wanted another war with them.

For some reason, not only the Uchiha was diregarding Madara but everybody, remember the election, well I'm sure it was a shame to Madara.
I can't go further because we didn't gain to much insight of it, but I can tell it was a chain of events such as Madara leaving the battle field to take care of of Izuna, leaving the others to Tobirama and Hashirama. Madara also seemed to betray the good intentions of a truce proposed by Hashirama a lot of times (and btw, maybe Mito - a great Uzumaki member - sensed his bad intention what I'm sure it wasn't good either)......Things just don't go Madara's way, do they?

Could be because once he left Uchiha's was switching sides. I don't think Madara betrayed their truce if anything he liked it because Hashirama was willing to die for Madara to find salvation. Mito needed kcm for that don't think she had it yet. Madara didn't truly go bad until he overheard Tobirama shit talking about him and the Uchiha. But the Uchiha didn't believe him and thought he wanted to disrupt their peace.

Yes! Once he left everybody alone in the battlefield I'm sure peopple would discriminate him for it.
But I'm sure Hashirama proposed a lot of times a truce before Madara accepting, as he said to Hashirama.
For Mito, yes, you might be right, as Naruto needed to control Kurama. But maybe not because to Obito know about it, Madara had to be near Mito in some situation whre he betrayed someone, probably Hashirama.
But yes I agree, Madara wanted a truce and Hashirama almost died for him to find light, but sadly the darkness of the world (as Tobirama and Black Zetsu) came and took Madara with it.

Of course, tobirama himself once said that the uchiha treasured love more than anybody else. Madara is a prime example, but he sealed that away when his younger brother departed from him....

Nah, Itachi was the one who said that.

It serves to highlight a character flaw of Itachi, so as to reinforce that he's human and therefore imperfect.

It's possible the uchiha really believed that madara took his brothers eyes for powers and this was the root of why they didn't trust him

It's proof that most of what Itachi said was a lie which isn't surprising since he's known to hide the truth constantly. That's why I believe what was said about Tsukuyomi and Izanagi shouldn't be taken too literally when we've seen many examples of people being the exception to the rule.

Madara was probably put in a negative narrative for the convenience of it, or perhaps just the poor things and rumors already associated with him.

Yes! What makes me angrier is that Sasuke cared to hear Hashirama story and not his ancestor's. It would be such a good development for him to know where Madara went wrong, but nooooo Madara is just pure evil, who killed his little brother, he's like the evil Itachi anyways for Sasuke, isn't he?:sdo:

Madara cared too much for his clan and it twisted him to become evil in my opinion
