This chapter confirms that even if you're top 1 in the elite ten, it doesn't mean you're the best one. I believe this chapter proves (theory) that Rindo could be better than Eishi at cooking.

Yup, you are spot on. Also this theory is constructive to some previous talks between saiba and souma, and senzaemon as they have hinted him to cook for someone he holds dear, something like that i don't exactly remember.

There's always hype for villains and then boom, another villain appears and then he/she gets more hype. It's a never ending cycle so I wouldn't be surprised if the white knight dude is weaker than Rindo. So far we've seen what the white knight is capable of, Rindo? still a mystery to this day.
