Well, wait for season 2 and you'll get a full idea of why. He does become one of the main characters with this season after all. But if I were to describe why I like his character so much without spoiling it...well, he's like Itachi in terms of personality. The cool, lonely prodigy. But the small change is that rather than being this unbeaten and unmatched perfect warrior, he's this very flawed but very powerful kid. He's strong, yeah, but the author makes it clear that he is by no means invincible, and still has a long way to go both as a hero and as a character.

I very much enjoy seeing that small difference be put to use with Shouto.
