The Star Wars prequels are worse than the originals (except for rots IMO) but not as bad as they've been put out to be. By themselves they offer some good entertainment but of course don't have the same excellence as the originals

- Who's the main character??
- They ruined Darth Vader's character
- Anakin's fall was rushed and unrealistic
- 99% of the "important" fights are lackluster and have no depth
- They contradict with the original story for illogical reasons
- Space politics
- Cheesy dialogue
- Forced love story between Anakin and Padme stinks
- You know that scene after the Battle of Yavin in ANH when Luke gets out his X-WING and is congratulated by Leia and Han? You never really get that type of feeling and emotions out of any character in the prequels. Everything's all sterile and bland.
- Lightsaber cluster**** (but I'll give that one a pass I guess)
- Jar Jar Binks
- How literally no one questions Palpatine about knowing a lot about Sith knowledge, demanding supreme power and having the Jedi killed off

I love The Hobbit films more than the original LOTR. Something about the tone, fun exploration and casting- I went to see all 3 at IMAX and goddamn loved it. Will never understand or see the hate it receives no matter how much I listen in to others criticisms.

The Star Wars prequels on the other hand are truly terrible, almost series-ruining even....but do have a couple of accidental redeeming features. Revenge of the Sith for example actually makes a great War movie and is one of my favourites. The other two Blue-screen dependent, meandering script-dumpster fires though? Are everything thats wrong with modern cinema. Hobbit & SW Prequels are not a fair comparison.

I was never a big fan of the LotR universe in the first place, and those movies didn't help.

The hobbit was just 1 book made into 3 movies. The last movie was literally about 20 pages squeezed into 1.5 hours.

Besides that the hobbit book was ment for children which is why it has talking trolls and shit. Lord of the rings > star wars >hobbit

The prequels had some good fights and it showed anakin slowly going to the darkside. Imo they are equal to the old trilogy but I can understand people like the older ones more if they grew up with it
