I was scrolling through social media and saw a gigantic fashion complaint about the twins on Harry Potter. It caught me off guard. It brought a chuckle a bit, I didn't realize people took note of dressing.

It seems the Ball in Goblet of Fire Indian twins' costumes caused butthurt among many potterheads in the subcontinent.

Because Ron and Harry weren't dressed stereotypical whatsoever.

It's because of people like that we end up with classic masculine superheroes turned homosexual, blacks playing the roles of whites (vice versa), and all kinds of other dumb shit to appease morons like these.

Or you know..maybe it's because people are tired of boring erh...I mean "classic" old tropes seen decade after decade after decade that doesn't speak to a newer multicultural society perhaps? :bdpf:

But I do admit people get too carried away with this on occasion. This Harry Potter one is a good example of going overboard with this tre d.

Because you were unable to see an issue others must be the ignorant ones, huh? And you didn't know people take note of the costumes worn by others or character in a movie or literature? Really? :|

I didn't really bother to think about it much but yes I had a "what's that" moment seeing them. The dresses worn by these girls were the cheapest sets producers could find with somewhat outdated or rather rustic designs. On top of it the style of dressing up is also too.... casual? There are multiple styles of carrying a dupatta but that's just not how you carry it when attending a party.( no, it has nothing to do with 'period' costume either).

The way they tied it up at the side, they could be easily mistaken for hired help for washing dishes or picking up after guests etc.

In short they were dressed up as badly as Ron if not worse. So unless that was the intended characterization it was chosen badly and it stood out- at least for those who are familiar with the design and style of that dress.

They're not even fans.

Since HP was targeted at such a wide audience, some degree of stereotype was acceptable. Regarding the design, it was the 00s. The same era where women would wear boots with mini-skirts and wear jeans under dresses. Plus those velour tracksuits in some very garish colours.

By comparison, they all looked great.

Why does...anybody care? You guys included. Getting gratification over digging at a few idiots is just as silly as them.

gratification
ɡratɪfɪˈkeɪʃn/Submit
noun
pleasure, especially when gained from the satisfaction of a desire.
"a thirst for sexual gratification"
synonyms: satisfaction, fulfilment, indulgence, relief, quenching, slaking, satiation, appeasement, assuagement; etc.

Your SJW attitude is becoming annoying

Rightttttt, so the correct usage of 'gratification' then. Why else would you guys be obsessed with posting these threads. Also I clearly just called the SJWs idiots in my post (not that you read that far)

Like, you realise you're an extreme right? Everyone slightly less radical than you isn't automatically an 'SJW' by default lol, get ready to have one hell of a black n white angry life if you think that way.

Jesus christ are you a hot mess. You're questioning and over-analysing every little bit of obvious post? I'm not even against you lol. If you didn't decide everyone was your enemy before you read their posts then you'd have known that you angry angry dude. Also 'hogwash' ? seriously?

Soz to be a buzzkill but what do you think 'trolling' is? Like, your definition of it. Why it's less sad than the actual people in this article.
