I don't know if anyone realize this, that is Sasuke using Amenotejikara to appear behind Naruto without actually interchanging with any object. Albeit the anime re-enacted it fittingly. But anyway does this mean Sasuke can use Amenotejikara without the need of switching himself with objects or was the manga depiction a glitch of some sort?

Here Sasuke takes a moment to teleport right when Naruto dashes at Madara, and when he reappears, Naruto is just about to reach Madara too. So, in theory, it requires more prep rather than a normal substitution.

Here Sasuke takes a moment to teleport right when Naruto dashes at Madara, and when he reappears, Naruto is just about to reach Madara too. So, in theory, it requires more prep rather than a normal substitution.

Because you must recognise there is some sort of drawback on using Ameno without objects, otherwise Sasuke would never need to swap himself with anything. Its either range or prep time. I am leaning towards prep time because of the scan I presented and because there are situations where Sasuke actively chose to swap himself with an object where range wouldn't be a problem.

Very little. But he didn't need to, because 1. He switched himself with a nearby statue, reinforcing my point that its a matter of time, not range and 2. He has long mastered Ameno at this point.

Smh it's neither, the only thing he needs prep time for is opening portals but even that it's almost instant. Sasuke switches objects to confuse the opponent, it will distract them from knowing where he's about to strike.

Sasuke hasn't used the ability like that once. The closest he did was with a statue against Kinshiki, and he never took the advantage from that distraction.

Furthermore, that brings up the question of why did he replace himself with Sakura's jacket, also.

Nah he doesn't he never switched with a object the first time he used when Madara used shadow lightning he just teleported himself

Sasuke can teleport himself for about 10 meters if the target its far away then he will need to switch himself with something to increase the range, thats why he needed to switch himself with sakura's jacket.
