Gaara is far more dangerous in a sand terrain than Kisame is near the ocean.

Gaara has omnipotent control the sand terrain. War Arc Gaara would be above kage level while in a sand terrain. If you cant fly then it will be instant death for you. There is no way to defeat Gaara while he is in his element. War Arc Gaara would have destroyed Deidara if they had a rematch.

Yea that was part 1 and kimi tanked it with not even the strongest defense. Part 2 would be no different with someone with a decent defense. Unlike Kisame who would absorb any chakra made defense and drown you to death.

War arc Gaara and adult would wreck Kimimaro now. Gaara can actually get around some defenses like just using his sand at the bottom of v4 susanoo. He was also able to restrain Madara's v3 susanoo a little and I don't remember this one to well but I think he was also able to slightly restrain v4 legged susanoo with his sand.

I'm not disagreeing with you about the original subject. I just feel like you're underestimating Gaara.
