Okay, first things first. What ranks are you at with your other trainings? Any prior experience in lightning? Also, just for funsies... Favourite canon use of lightning within the series?
My other trainings I'm mostly lurking around B rank territory. No prior lightning training at all. Favorite usage of lightning would probably be sasuke using Kirin with no preparing in the battle with naruto.

You wake up one morning, a day like any other. You go through your morning routine and do whatever else you like to do before leaving your house in the morning, the weather outside is frightful, hail and rain in equal measure fall from the sky travelling near horizontally as it gets caught in the hellish breeze, shopkeepers in the streets struggle to keep their wares on their stalls as they try to make some money in the local market trading district as they would every other day. You walk past many a stall but nothing particularly exciting catches your eye.
As you pass the last of the trading stalls you hear a young girl scream, thesource could only be a few feet behind your current location and so you spin round to see what it was you heard. The streets are empty, the stalls are gone and so are the people running them. The world is quiet other than the still present hail that hammers down on the buildings around you and tears into the earth beneath your feet. A flash of lightning so bright that a flashbang could have exploded mere inches from your eyes lights up the world in a way you have never experienced before, and inside this light, this blinding white light you see two things. The first thing you see is a photograph of a young, pink haired child.. She is sitting alone in the corner of a black room and staring straight at you, her eyes like those of a painting, following you around the room, tears line her face but she does not look sad. The second thing, another photograph, this time the photograph is of a bat with a cigar in his mouth and a cowboy hat on, the photograph is captioned "The Battest Man in the West".
Both these photographs fly toward you but stop a couple of feet in front of your face, the bright white light from the lightning strike never ceases and you are trapped in a void of nothingness, only the photographs for company. What do you do?

Trapped in the white void of nothingness, Orochimaru would be considerably confused and disoriented to begin with. However his eyes would adjust to the white void without too much disruption to his his senses for any extended period of time. Looking at the two photographs Orochimaru is confused one seems serious and the other some kind of strange joke. The picture of the girl piques his interest more. But with nothing to do for the moment Orochimaru would sit cross legged. Placing both photos on the ground, and begin meditating focusing on his breathing he entered a state of focus doing nothing more than that.

Change, the world does not. You sit, meditating for an extended period of time, the silence around you only exaggerating times prolonged hold over you. It takes what feels like an age for something to happen, and when it does, it offers no help. A sound vibrates profusely through your eardrums, it is screechy and whines like nothing the real world can conjure. This sound extends itself from nowhere, its source is everywhere and its end is never coming. Cover your ears if you like, it projects from within. The two photos you placed on the ground shudder under the force of the noise as it fills the void that you now call home, they rise upwards and begin to glow a devilish red.
The noise splits Orochimaru's eardrums in half nearly, a horrifying screeching song. Covering his ears does no good the pain almost brings tears to his eyes as he's barely able to notice the now hovering photographs hanging in front of him, glowing a twisted red color. Leaping backwards away from them the pain in his ears causes vertigo knocking him off balance momentarily as he attempts to gain a decent footing while moving a few steps back. He considers releasing the blade of Kusanagi from his stomach, but it's too soon and the blade won't stop sound regardless.

As you leap backwards, the photographs grow to an unimaginable size and an invisible wall stops your momentum as you're forced to watch as the things in the pictures come to life. The battest man in the west stands right in front of you, his eyes a few inches from yours and breathing cigar fumes directly into your face, he is smiling a devlish smile but doesn't move an inch.
The little girl can be seen out the corner of your eye, she has that same look on her face as she stands up and walks toward you, she reaches toward you and hands you a piece of chakra paper... Should you grab it, hold it between your palms and tell me what you feel as you channel lightning chakra throughout your body... Tell me what you know of lightning and how you believe it would feel as lightning coursed through your every pore and electrified your chakra network.
The little girl can be seen out the corner of your eye, she has that same look on her face as she stands up and walks toward you, she reaches toward you and hands you a piece of chakra paper... Should you grab it, hold it between your palms and tell me what you feel as you channel lightning chakra throughout your body... Orochimaru would watch as the strange bat and the crying girl stood in front of him. He was unable to move further away but they didn't seem to be attacking. Instead one offered him a piece of chakra paper. Taking it in his hands he immediately began to feel a tingling sensation like his nerve endings were burning. Not severely but enough to make him jump slightly. He felt the electricity coursing through him like it was enhancing the young serpentine boys body. The feeling was tough to aptly describe but it was the best he could do.

Channeling the lightning into the paper you begin to feel an incredible force from within your palms, a copious amount of heat emanates from the paper and looking down at your hands you can see a light as bright as the one you had seen before squeezing through what limited gaps there are between your fingers. The light blinds and it explodes through your hands and once your vision returns you are in the training grounds of Kirigakure standing with a crinkled piece of chakra paper between your hands and a young female sitting on a rock on front of you, looking down and noticing that you managed to put wrinkles in the paper, she speaks.
"Great, it took a while but you got there. Seems you do have an affinity for Raiton after all, I must say I was beginning to doubt for a moment there."
Taking the paper from you she rolls it up in a ball and throws it into the ocean which lies a few feet from her position, covered by the ever present Kirigakure mist. Handing you a new piece of paper, she speaks once more
"Read this, I'll be back to test you on it in a moment."
As she hands you the paper, she brushes past you leaving a pink hair on your shoulder as she goes. She disappears into the mist and you are alone with her paper. On it, are the details of three techniques.
"Describe these techniques out loud, make sure to state the name of the technique you are describing before you do so. Speak of the techniques disadvantages, advantages, some possible uses and anything you believe relevant. Once you are done, please shout the word. Done." Is written in bold letters at the end of the note.

This sempai was certainly a strange one. Was it genjutsu she'd just used to simulate that whole ordeal. Orochimaru wondered as she seemingly strolled off vanishing in to the mists. Holding the scroll in both hands Orochimaru would slide the seal aside unraveling the scroll and reading it's contents.
Raiton no jutsu, this one seems very basic. You just focus chakra in to your body and release small bolts of lightning to shock and stun opponents. It's quite adaptable since you don't need to release them specifically from your hands or anything, if I'm interpreting the scroll correctly. Raiton: Raikou Oonami this one seems like a variation of that which came before, this allows you to slam your hand on the ground after building up the required chakra, using the earth as a medium to shock your opponent. Ration: Ikazuchi Kashou, I think somebody made a typo in this scroll sempai. Unless there is a ration release, I'm kind of hoping there is as I'm quite hungry and I forgot my boiled eggs. That aside this one is almost identical to the basic release only it's specifically released through the palm, and releases a wave of lightning to stun and harm opponents. Done!
Orochimaru says, rooting in his pocket for his boiled eggs.

Changing styles, hope you don't mind. It's just unrealistic for me to be able to teach in the manner that I wanted to over a bunch of trainings. I'll incorporate this in a different way at various points in the traning for now though I'll post the techniques and want you to give me some Advantages and Disadvantages for each. Then pick one of the three techniques and give me AT LEAST 2 unique uses for that technique in battle.

First one, advantages would be it's ability to reach long ranges, along with being able to hit multiple targets. Disadvantages would be number of seals to it's rank and power and the fact that targeting more people makes it weaker also.
Second one advantages, no handseals and easily combined with water jutsu. Weaknesses would be low rank and low range if the water technique has low range.
Third one advantages it protects the user in close combat and delivers a painful shock which can be used in conjunction with the users taijutsu. Disadvantages it only works for one attack and has a tiny range.
Two uses of the second jutsu. The user could combine it with a sticky water based water attack to create what would essentially be a water/lightning trap zone if it caught the opponent they'd be physically stuck and paralyzed and electrocuted for as long as they were trapped. Additionally I think you could combine it with any liquid based techniques that conduct electricity not just water. Might be able to combine it with mud release techniques to create electrified mud of some sort. Which would be interesting but I'm not sure if that would work.

Goood, as far as that usage goes I'm sure most mud techniques don't conduct electricity well enough as they're made mainly with earth... If you described them right you may get away with it. The concept is perfect though, something like Perfume would work wonderfully with this technique.

First one advantages would be its range and it's ability to combo with earth sometimes your own but potentially could turn your opponent's earth against them by destroying a structural weakness of their own defensive earth.
Disadvantages would be the number of handseals and it's dependency on earth being present and set up correctly.
The second advantages would be its speed and lack of handseals.
It's weaknesses would be its linear attack direction and it's fairly standard attack path which doesn't deviate from path or strike for much damage.
The third is quite useful especially with my sword of kusanagi it allows versatile attack paths and adaptable attacks in general.
The glaring disadvantage is being unable to combine it with other jutsu. Pretty big disadvantage.

Second technique spreads to attack numerous foes at once, I understand there your skepticism came from but I wouldn't really say a disadvantage of the technique is that it doesn't deviate from its path

Apologies. I'll use the first one stone avalanche. I would use it against an opponents defensive jutsu or formerly used earth that no longer contains chakra to cause their own jutsu to collapse on them possibly. Also I would use it on my earth techniques once I'm no longer using them to create a surprise attack.

Okay advantages for this one. It doesn't require handseals at all which is beneficial and makes it quick I imagine. However it does have a disadvantage of poor range. As for combinations of this I'm honestly drawing blanks. I'll be honest this isn't a good technique in my view unless I'm missing something substantial.

It's relatively helpful in some situations. It's low rank makes it difficult to pull off and make helpful but it can cleanse the ground of foreign chakra and also give you some scenery to work with, it'll break up the earth and give you something to manipulate with your other tehcniques... Making small sharpened shards of earth for you to use within water of wind techniques for example.
