Everyone is programmed to fear(which is revealed as hate) what they don't understand or don't look like... Racism is simply first line of behavior. Only you grow out of it, not "it's pure not to have it".

The nagging part is an old man who hasn't grown out of it. The village part you're talking is simply historical relations and experiences "never trust men from the East" typa thing... e.g a band of Assyrians wiped the North East of Africa flat leaving few obstacles, their stride were felt from far places "It's natural in those parts of Africa now to distrust an Assyrian because of history" ...

That is a give or take situation, South Africa is a replica of America in some way. Yes Blacks were severely oppressed, yes justice or equity must be served, HOWEVER victim-hood is a big gigantic NO NO, when I ask a black South African student to study these days, he simply gives me a history lesson WTF!

You know what they say about history. Those who forget it are doomed to repeat it. While I agree forgiveness is something we need to exercise (as blacks) it's not so simple to do. Not all wounds heal (just ask the Jewish culture) Though much has improved since those days, it's shaped a huge part of my country's culture. You can still see the effects of it in today's society.

The culture has changed from blacks to Mexican and middle eastern cultures here now. Though not as extreme granted
