In Vixen's own words, "it's all breaking apart". She's one of the many magic users that's faced Superman but failed; in that fight she had to resort to kissing him because playing defence wasn't working.

If Superman were bloodlusted, she would've been splattered before she had time to blink. Magic isn't much of a weakness as far as Superman's concerned, which goes for pretty much anything else. He always overcomes magic and kryptonite, with sheer power alone.
