Why was War Arc Minato Hated?

I mean he was still badass in the war , and he made a lot of things that helped the allaince .

But I hear that he gets a lot of hate in the war arc only saying that he was much more badass while alive.

Any specific reasons?

Because he stood on the sidelines most of the time and never took the role as leader in the fights. He was soft and got his ass kicked a lot too.

Because Minato wasn't acting like this ultimate speedster and tactician, he was hyped up to be.

Itachi was a one in a kind genius with one of the most powerful Kekki Genkai, and he did have flaws with his personality. But you're salty because Kishi didn't require asspulls to make him invincible.

Last time I checked it took juubi jin characters to pick him apart .. a regular shinobi with no power ups taken down by juubi jins.

I don't have a problem with it either. If anything, the war arc made him a better character than what he previously was.

Kishi ****ed him over, anyone who denies this is a fanboy. Basically turned him into a inferior Naruto with FTG(lost his badess cool factor). Gave him an inferior KCM,BM and SM, made Tobirama the originator of FTG and made him job for a good portion of the fights. Everyone who got brought back Edo got ****ed over(high tiers like Minato go ****ed by Madara and mads himself got ****ed over by plot, also lol at Hashirama). The only Edo who didnt take any Ls, ws of course, Kishis goldenboy Itachi.

Minato is my 2nd favorite character but i don't know what y'all was expecting we knew his moveset was FTG(variants) and Rasengan. We knew he wasn't gonna be OP he hardly beat Obito at 14-16 lol.

Seeing Minato fighting without arms was just sad. He couldn't even hug his son when they said their goodbyes. And Minato was easily swayed by Obito's taunts numerous times, and needed pep talks from Naruto to regain his composure.

It wasn't hatred, it was disappointment...

Kishi to blame, Minato came on-panel with massive hype to justify and he didn't even did the half of it. It all can be made less disappointing if we consider he was faring against almost-DBZ characters and still managed to perform well enough, but the worst thing is either he or Tobirama(not so much) were just killed as a quality character when they were made almost clones of each other.

It's just like how stupid animators couldn't come up with anything original and made Ashura and Indra, Naruto 2.0 and Sasuke 2.0
