But he actually deserved that for every person he had manipulated and killed - Obito, Rin, Kakashi etc. But when in Konoha, Madara just wanted peace so his brother could live. What didn't happen and things just got worse for him.

Yeah, probably Tajima noticed that Mdara was leaving too much just as Butsuma did, and asked Izuna to follow his older son. That proves that at that age Izuna was just as sensitive as Tobirama was.
