This last DBS episode just took a Fairy tail route Where the power of friendship overcome anything. Something that Naruto did against JJ Obitio. Now DBS made the same mistake...

It was fun while it last. Super Saiyan blue Kaioken Goku, then Vegito..... ah man...

I mean, I can see why everyone's pissed, but...really, the only true "asspull" this episode presented was Trunks unconsciously gathering energy in a Genki-Dama style, and I think that if you can overlook him learning Mafuba the way he did, this shouldn't be much of a problem.

Is it THAT bad though? It was the same thing as Genki Dama, only he seemed to be calling on it unconsciously. I mean, this was by no means a smooth way to bring the plot forward, but enough to RUIN a series that, throughout this entire arc, only presented interesting characters, compelling plots and awesome fight scenes for you? I mean, holy crap, man....

If Genki Dama was not a thing and we hadn't seen Goku doing the same thing Trunks did in the movies, I'd understand it, kinda, but really? Is that all it takes to ruin a series for you?

Trunks has his hands up,blocking zamasu with his sword, when he said he'll protect everyone.its kind of similar to goku using the spirit bomb asking for everyone's help with his hands up except with trunks everyone wanted to help

Yes, I agree, that this was not quite the best end for that fight, but other than that....the episode was good. We got to see Vegito after all, who, lets face it, was only there for the sake of fanservice. It was not long lived, but at least it was there.

I was happy and pleased with Vegito performance. My boy Goku with that kaioken kick was lovely. Speaking of kick, you saw how Vegito landed like 20 foot-kicks in one kick? That shit was GODLY!!!!!! XD

Eh, there were like three separate instances where Gohan's "Hidden Power" was released. It's like every time he needed a power-up to become relevant, the series just pretended that Gohan hadn't already tapped into that power.

Then there's Goten/Trunks going Super Saiyan at such a young age; Toriyama wanted them to be relevant, but logically there's no way that their power-level should have been that high.

Also, Saiyans growing stronger from near-death experiences (including self-inflicted wounds like Vegeta's during the Frieza Saga)... why not just constantly hurt each other and eat Senzu?

Dragon Ball has always just made shit up as it goes along. It doesn't follow a rigid set of rules. Even the means of awakening SSG is pretty similar to Trunks' recent power-up; out basically combined that with the spirit bomb. And gaining power through emotion has always been a thing since at least SS1.

Trunks was always going to land the final blow; this is his arc, despite Goku/Vegeta sharing the spotlight.
