DMS Kakashi was the worst because it only reminds me of how badly the storyline ended

There is w major change in character rewatch!

Kakashi not only comes to terms with Obito during the war, which was something that held him back considerably, being the reason he was always late due to always standing in front of his grave and such, but he also loses his Sharingan, and we can see that he think himself as less of a Shinobi because of it. Not to mention him rising to take the Hokage title after being encouraged by Obito, when he was previously forcing himself to do so. Those are all things Canon briefly touched on, but were told in further detail in the novels...so yeah, it is character development.

On the other hand, I dare you to tell me one bigger change from Kakashi by the end of Part 1 to the start of Part 2.

Copy Cat Kakashi was the best one because it reminded me how much of a hype he was back in zabuza arc. Now he become a shit tier character and he's so broken that it disgust me.

I don't like him much no matter what version you pick, but I guess he was tolerable starting from Shippuuden.

it doesn't really make much sense to compare end of part 1 to beginning of part 2. A better comparison would be part 1 kakashi vs up to pain/summit arc kakashi.

Back then he saw his students as nuisances, but at the same time could accurately gauge their feelings.

By summit arc he consideres naruto an equal or even superior shinobi than him(and actually believes in him), he sympathizes with hiruzen when it came to the falling out the sannin, while being uncomfortable with the prospect of being a hokage himself. Lost his ability to even guess whats going on is sasukes mind, amongst other things.
