VOTE 2 was a completely plot restricted fight just to close out the series, nothing more. We could argue about it all day, but realistically both Sasuke and Naruto did not go 100% or fully utilize their arsenals for the sake of the story.

Sort of. It's just that although Naruto is stronger it means nothing if you can't counter Rinnegan Genjutsu, Chibaku, Almighty Push/Universal Pull ect.

You realize Naruto already stopped the strongest Rinnegan techniques in weaker forms, right? Rinnegan abilities haven't had the best success against the dude.

What power does he have against Tsukuyomi, Yata and Totsuka ?

Then adding to that he has to face Sasuke's Preta and Hashirama's dragon

Then adding on to that he has to face Ameno and two FTG users

Then adding on to that there's Prime Hiruzen, EMS and 5 other Path techniques.


It would be too overwhelming for Naruto.
