I've said this countless time before and I'll say it again.
Neji Hyuga was the most underappreciated character of all time. Yes even more so than Lee or Shino for the simple fact that he has NO MEMORABLE MOMENT in Part 2 and he was literally brought back in Shippuden only to die over horrible pairing which has absolutely no contribution to this arc because his death cement absolutely nothing.

There have been plenty of characters that have died and then been revived. Why is Neji any different? Neji still had room to grow and discover new things. Someone like Jiraiya and Asuma already been given an entire arc of buildup enough to served their time and passed on their torch to the next generation. Neji did not get a chance to receive that opportunity yet and now he never will. Hell, even Gaara and Kakashi faced similar deaths and they were somehow brought back. Even Gai was entirely RESOLVED to DIE yet gets saved.

Why is that?

It's because Kishi doesn't have the balls to kill off someone like Kakashi or Gaara due to the popularity by the fandoms but he has the balls to kill off Neji because he assumes that Neji is not so important enough to keep around so he just got rid of him for NH moment. smh

1 - he was actually one of the few promissing characters that the Naruto manga had (in Naruto, if you don't have a sharingan, rikudou chakra, rinnegan or a demon inside you, you're not good enough)

2 - he could've made a better use of Hamura chakra than Hinata ever did and ever will. He was a prodigy, with Hamura chakra he could arguably have been somewhere close to Nardo and Sauce's tier

3 - at 16, he displayed feats as good as the strongest Hyuga we ever seen, Hiashi.

4 - we may have lost the only chance we had of seeing Byakugan's full potential being achieved

5 - his death was pretty much in vain. Honestly, he was sacrificed in order to keep a close-to-irrelevant side character alive. Hinata should have been wiped off of the face of the earth instead of him. (Naruto could've been paired with any other random girl, that's not an excuse)
