Why can blocked members still view my profile? Why are they still allowed to quote my post even after I have them blocked? They shouldn't be able to view any of your contents if you have them ignored. So basically, all we can do is hide their comments? Yes, hardly anything useful when they can still quote our posts thus giving us the slight urge to actually see what they posted. If someone on my ignore list is trying to view my profile or click on one of my threads, this should be the only thing that they can see:

You must be registered for see images

Now, I know you staff like to bring up this overused argument of something being "abused" or misued. If you want to fix this problem then simply limit the number of people you can fit onto your ignore list. I know there are a lot of people who posts threads on a daily basis and they end up getting closed because some troll wants to mess things up. Well, allowing the people who constantly do this to not enter into their threads can fix this. This will not only keep certain people away, but it will also keep people from feeling upset that their threads got closed. This will not 100% fix the problem of threads getting closed because sometimes the OP is a troll, but it is mainly used for those who are annoying to you personally.

Allowing them to have nothing to do with you should be the best thing. What is the point of an ignore feature if it doesn't really serve it's purpose.

Best regards, Dannie

It's ignore button not " block button". Normal members should not able to block anyone from an open discussion- you can report them and if mods see the complaint genuine they will do it for you.

As for your profile you can limit your profile info to people in your friend list and the staff. And remove members you do not want to view your profile from your friend list.

So I'm not allowed to block anyone because I'm not a moderator? Sounds legit.

It's already dead, and you're just annoying. Go away.

This would be viable if the forum wasn't riddled with immature retards, i.e. no.

It would be abused by those who can't accept opposition/challenge in their threads. Then there are those who will use it to troll.

I don't think you have thought this suggestion through. There is so many things that can go bad with something like this that I don't even know where to begin. And knowing the users we have there would occur systematic bullying, and threads wouldn't be reported since the person can't even defend him/herself as s/he can't view the thread. This is just one of the pretty much a billion of things that WILL go wrong with something like this. The purpose of the ignore system is for you to decide if you don't want to see what another person is posting if it triggers you not for you to ban the person from seeing what you type.

If you put them on the ignore list, how can what they say when they quote you matter enough that you'd want to see it?

Okay fine, will there be a block feature anytime soon, or nah?
I think having a limit to the amount of people you can block should be reasonable. It's not like we are blocking the entire forum or anything.

If you put them on the ignore list, how can what they say when they quote you matter enough that you'd want to see it?

Because I'm curious, Riker-boy.

So you want a feature to stop the thing you do on your own volition? My guy...

That's not how it works. This isn't facebook where you block someone and they can't view your posts. It's called the ignore feature because you're ignoring the other persons posts, it's supposed to be beneficial for you. The ignore button isn't meant to block people. Unfortunately that wouldn't be a good thing to have on a forum.
