When the leaf village formed everyone else was fodder

- Senju
- Uchiha
- All tailed beasts
- Hashirama
- Madara
- Tobirama
- Pretty much the Uzumaki

Seeing how the shinobi alliance was fodderized by Madara alone I can't imagine them being any challenge at all to the leaf during the first ninja war.

These things are what annoys me about Naruto. Hashirama was so hyped up and lived up to his hype, defeated Madara but somehow died in battle I guess. Tobirama is also of the most powerful, he should be able to take care of 20 fodder track ninja.

Hashirama's still a human who can make errors like anyone else. And it's one single error that can kill you in battle. As for Tobirama, they weren't 20 fodder tracker ninja, they were all highly skilled Jounin, so we're talking at least 20 Asuma level shinobi. Take into account that Tobirama had already been fighting and was probably tired, and what's left? Also the DB suggested that he used Gojou Kibaku Fuda on his live self, so he would've "took care of them" anyway.

The Leaf was founded with the Senju, Uchiha, Shimura (Danzo's family), Sarutobi, Ino-Shika-Cho, Hyuga, Aburame, Hatake, Inazuka and ties with the Uzumaki (there was an ancient shrine in the village, plus Hashi took an Uzu for his bride).
