Kakashi and Kirin

Ok so manga states kakashi cut through lightning with raikiri, right? So could he cut through Kirin? I'm not saying deflect or anything, but would he be able to cut through it and survive?

Kirin is formed through multiple lightning bolts; Kakashi was capable of cutting one. Logically, Kakashi could cut through Kirin one lightning bolt at a time, but realistically that isn't happening.

I agree realistically speaking. But the question came to me while discussing ridiculous databook claims so I figured I'd ask. I was thinking more along the lines of him jumping up towards it and cutting through it. Visually I'm thinking kinda like what he did with kakuzus attack, where it went around him because he was deflecting

I can see kamui working if he does it as Kirin is starting, or maybe kamui sniping sasukes hand as it raises in the air lol

Kirin is far more dangerous than a lightning bolt. I mean, he can cut through lightning, but Kirin's impact diameter is very wide. He wouldn't be able to cut through all of it.

He could probably use his chidori to redirect the lightning, kirin is stated to literally be just controlling a lightning bolt never been said to be several but even so if sasuke guides it with his chidori then kakashi using basically the same technique should interfere with it by using his as well

This is kinda what I was thinking, it's a lot wider then say a normal lightning bolt but kakashi would only be trying to cut through it and somewhat split the part of Kirin that would actually hit him

Btw, this isn't to you in particular but to everyone else in the thread, I don't seriously think kakashi could do this. I'm just using (ridiculous) info given to us by manga and databook and applying it to a related scenario to see what people think

I get that but if raikiri is indeed as "sharp" as claimed does the power really matter? We're talking one "extremely" sharp focal point of lightning against a big powerful wide one that's more about being destructive
