[Discussion] Which ability had the most potential?

In the Manga I believe there were a ton of abilities that could have really been developed to become OP asf.
InoShikaCho for example, simple ass abilities that could be much more if they had talented ninja. Shikimaru is smart, he doesn't have the ability Naruto or Sasuke has. Imagine Naruto using FTG regularly.

The fact that he knew hundreds of Jutsu and could preform them flawless only goes to show that his capabilities are endless.

Your forgetting that almost all his techniques come with restrictions. Forbidden Techniques are powerful but hard to pull off, and come with a price.

That's the beauty of Orochimaru's potential, it would've dope to see Orochimaru risk his life (no way around death) to pull out something undeniably OP but touché. On another note, Byakugou had potential! It is directly linked to the Shikkotsu Forest (Katsuyu) which means the possibility of harnessing senjutsu chakra is possible (Slug SM).

When it comes to OP I don't really think of Orochimaru. Sure he has a huge arsenal but pure power to me has always meant bloodline limits and chakra reserves. Can Orochimaru really win a long battle with someone of his calibur? Like Minato, a High Level Kage, Pein, or even Madara?

Pure power is decided in the potency of one's chakra. Orochimaru's chakra is very potent, and has large reserves of it... Just look at Oro-ryu Kawarimi; Sasuke used it once and it left him with little chakra left. Oro used it 3 times whilst his body was rejecting him and he was at his limit.

Base Minato can blitz him and Rasengan him over and over but it won't be enough to overcome Shirohebi no Chikara, and he'd eventually succumb. BM Minato ofc wipes him out, Pein will eventually defeat him after a lot of slipping around and there's no way Oro could win against EMS, Edo, Alive or Juubidara.
