Most anime just seems to have asian characters that look white af with peach toned skin, large eyes, pointed noses, and thin lips.

Blonde hair and blue eyes, never understood the obsession with those features lol

It's racist.

Mind blown. Thanks for the explanation. I'm going to tell everyone now. I'll also add the female body porportions and clothing objectify women. I'll also tell them Rooting for pirates is evil and that they should listen to authority, no matter what.

It's because it's different and because of color symbology.

Yeah but the characters are meant to be Asian so it's kind of weird when you're new to anime and every character looks European instead

I'm sure you've heard this before because I've read it countless times. You internalize stylized characters as yourself unless it's obviously not the same as your skin color.

I thought the pic was the edit that 4kids did to the original. I agree that I kinda got bummed when robin became white skinned.

I like the idea of showing time with tanning skin but that has to be too nit picky to be taken serious.

None of that shit has to do with the manga. Robin was never that dark in the manga. Nor was that underling of Buggy's.

@OP

One Piece. Naruto made pretty stereotypical blacks, Killer Bee with his raps and stuff.

One Piece probably has the most diversity in terms of meaningful characters, it has transgenders, gays, blacks, etc. One of the strongest and most well designed characters is black. One of the main cast is also from Africa. There was an entire arc which tackled racism and slavery, and its a constant theme in the manga, there is also , government corruption (illuminati level stuff). One Piece by quite a landslide tbh.

Wait what? :what:
Story shows a world where you are only worth if you belong to a speshul clan

MC was able to go against odds and had to come face his rival only because his lineage and had special demon beast

All fodders are not from special clans and they die

Not so special side clan guy sacrifices himself(neji) for the sake of main char and his love who is from main clan(hina)

If you thought Neji was not special and become powerful think again what happened in the end.

One female character is dangerously submissive and everything that goes against self respecting lady, also she does not belong to any nobility and struggles to catch up with her team mates

Sentient beings/ beats can think for them selves but are still human slaves

Stereotypes black people(black zetsu steals and is cunning)

Fat acceptance(I dont consider that progressive)

Just like many other anime/manga Naruto shows aspects of japanese mindset or whatever their fetish is like blonde and hair blue eyes=superior, you cant become successful if you are not noble clan, asian kid is smart and edgy. blonde hair blue eyes girl wearing slutty clothes.

If Kawaki is fighting against that ideology, I'll side with him.

Government corruption is in Naruto also. Ussop is from Africa and has huge lips terrible hair and is ugly af. You can nitpick killa bee but the other black characters are powerful and have leadership positions and are not drawn with exagerrated ugly features.

Government corruption is in Naruto also.
OP has taken it bit too far where govt
-didnot arrest Doffy(after PH arc) even though they knew he was performing illegal experimentation on kids
-destroyed an island full of people because they were trying to learn what happened in Void century
-slaughtered Law's country men because of some disease(which they knew from the beginning)
-allows Arlong to do whatever at Nami's island
-changed Sanji's wanted alive poster because he is going to marry BM's daughter
-allows Slavery, Human trafficking so that Celestial dragons can have their share of fun
-kids are kidnapped and marines have like no clue where they went
etc.
Narutoverse corruption is nowhere near the shit OPverse had shown.

blackbeard looks like a fat black guy.
I have no problem wit a fat black guy as a main villain.

I thought the three admirals were based on real Japanese people. I think Aokiji was an actor or something.
