The bracelets are a smaller part of Sanjis reason for not coming back, the threat is the primary reason and the very cause of his involvement with BM and the Vinsmokes to begin with. Nami and Luffy already know that and should thus plan things out instead of "oh we and your resturant will die, but hey let's go back fam"
True but he did go too far with them insults though. That's something he going to have to apologise for.

@Riker

your boy Lord Sanji just disrespected the Captain
Shut the **** up.

Hell no. He would threaten to leave luffy tbvh. Or cut up sanji
I mean, he didn't intervene when Usopp and Sanji brawled, so he wouldn't intervene here either.

It's ****ing sad how many people are talking about what this means for Sanji's, Luffy's, and Zoro's strength when it's supposed to be about the dynamics of Luffy's and Sanji's bond. It's like these forums are populated by Vinsmokes, emotionally-retarded people who only see power in everything they look at. I even remember Oda lighting up one SBS because someone asked him a question about the One Piece world building, and he said "This is the kind of question I like to see." Man would probably hate reading these posts.

After the bar fight on Jaya, you would expect Nami understands what is going on here.

She is always used as the voice of panic and shock to emphasize how dire the situation is. Shouting names with a lot of explanation marks while the men are talking with the fists.

But as soon as she is on the Sunny she becomes the smart one and the one that is calm and in control. I just wish she would carry over that role in arcs more often.

The chapter was good.
I didn't think Sanji went too far (at least not physically, he wanted Luffy to attack him, hoping to find some solace in the physical pain, but Luffy made his emotional pain worse by not fighting back), his words carried a little too much weight tho, but that can pass as trying to provoke Luffy.
Sanji would have to deal with the Vinsmokes on his own now, which is kinda good in a way, but I still don't see how the Zeff issue will be resolved.

Still though it's kinda ****ed how she told luffy to bring him back and apologize shortly but then when Sanji is surrounded by walls she is quick to tell luffy to give up on him. Would you say it's fair to give up on someone who was willing to die for you just because of some physical abuse taking one piece themes into consideration?

Maybe she relates more to usopps thinking, but yeah it's just a minor bug I had while reading ths
The one of the reason Nami is saying "give up" comes from the point that Luffy had 11h fight with Cracker and if you noticed Luffy didn't use any protections against Sanji's kicks since he was at limit as Nami said.

How did he not go too far though? He's beating the shit out of his defenseless Captain with Diable Jambe. Nami wasn't really buying what Sanji was saying either but she's not gonna sit there and watch Luffy get slaughtered like that.

Though it looked like she might have givin up too easy on Sanji, but she was simply overcome with the shock of the moment.
It's just triggering when she was asking luffy to bring usopp back and apologize but then She tells luffy to give on Sanji when they are aware that he is doing it for them

Definitely. He did go too far, there was absolutely no need fkr DJ lmao

So you're saying the give up part refered to the fight and not the idea of rescuing Sanji? Maybe but I doubt it considering her wording of "too far" implying that she doesn't care what happens to Sanji anymore

What if Zeff is already dead and the Vinsmokes are just using him as an excuse to control Sanji...

As you could have seen she meant it's going too far on how's Sanji bad mounthing Luffy, when she said it's enough(I can't see give up in any panel) that's pointing to the fight.Unless you meant the "He crossed the line" thing where again I believe Nami didn't want Luffy to go in more since pretty much as how much this stupid might sound Luffy could have died if that continued longer.

Luffy tries to justify Sanjis actions and then Nami states "I think he hit you one to many times in the head" implying luffy isn't thinking right...

But when usopp literally quits the crew, she talks about calming down and tells luffy to go back

The difference in stances is clear tbh

Welp Sanji and Usopp situations are not the same it's quiet different.

Luffy knocked Usopp back then,Luffy at his limit tanked all the kicks from Sanji where Sanji did cross the line, very much so.Sanji could have killed Luffy there.

I might understand this differently but isn't Nami trying to calm the situation down and make Luffy go back as well?

True luffy could have died bht wouldn't you agree usopps captaincy opposition > Sanjis brutality ?

To me it seems like she is telling luffy to drop it and leave back. She just doesn't care anymore apparently

Well it's a quiet different situation when it comes to Usopp and Sanji I don't want to go too much into it.

I find it hard to believe that someone like Nami would say something like that especially about Sanji, she isn't like Zoro(?) this could again be to translation error I guess we better wait for VIZ.But then again it might be indeed that she means that Luffy should leave him, well if it is then Sanji will have some mad explaining to do to Nami hence the reason why Nami slapped him after the drama ends.

Usopp was leaving because he felt a crew member was being left behind Sanji's leaving to save his crew, they're not the same. For an accurate comparison let's compare how she reacted to saving Robin.

Luffy should use his newly founded fleet to go and protect Zeff. Also for the whole Zoro conversation here: I don't think he would have done anything more than Nami, if anything, he would have scolded luffy for letting him do that kinda like he scolded him about the usopp thing.

OT: pretty good chapter, luffy is pretty tough but it looked like he was using Haki to defend himself. Unfortunately this makes his presence in the arc a bit limited until sanji figures his life out.

Luffy has no idea what's happening with Zeff nor that's he was mentioned.
