The picture and his full explanation make it clear that natural energy is being used in addition to the already present physical and spiritual energy. Its not a means of replacement.

How can the manga get any clearer that mixing nature energy with your own body, only waste'd up new chakra created? Using ninjutsu = you get tired by using up your internal energy
Senjutsu = YOU DONT

Wrong again. The reason he regains his chakra is because he canceled his clone. Its already established that when you cancel the clone the chakra(whether it be sage chakra or not) reverts back to the user.

I was explaining to you how naruto gets his chakra back after frs usages during his fight with pain. It had 0 to do with sage mode. or sage chakra, it was simply a cleaver use of shadow clone jutsu.

Kabuto cant clearly do it numerous times. It requires the chakra control and chakra amount. Naruto with his ridiculous reserves could make 2 clones capable of collecting senjutsu. Chakra control is obviously a factor but we know that wasn't the main problem. Naruto made thousands of clones training for his FRS. Yet he could only make 2 clones for senjutsu training. And why is that? It requires huge chakra reserves to balance natural chakra and inner chakra. If your chakra isn't all that big, the inner chakra you're balancing with natural chakra would immediately be engulfed by natural chakra and turn you to stone. The first time you enter SM in a day you mix your chakra with natural chakra to make senjutsu. The next time you try to enter SM you will have less of your own chakra to balance with the natural chakra, because they first time you used the inner chakra, you've already used it when you first exited out of sage mode. So with each try you will have a shorter span of SM. In Kabuto's case he's continuously taking natural chakra and balancing it with his own, spending more of his own chakra at a continuous rate. Kabuto's chakra control is great, but he'd run out of ssnjutsu way before Naruto
