I've had ideas of leaving the U.S since I started college and this current election is only adding more fuel to my desire to leave. Either way you look at it we're ****ed; Trump is an idiot who doesn't have the slightest clue on how to run a country, and Hillary is the demon Beelzebub incarnate, whose going to launch us into a 3rd World War with Russia.

Now I'm trying to decide which country I should move to? Canada's always been a primary option; its a like a nicer America; no wars, good health care, bagged milk, etc. Maybe I should move somewhere in Europe. The UK would be the easiest since they already speak English there; I'm thinking of places like Sweden or Norway too. Maybe It'd be weird moving there since I'll probably be one of the few existing black people in that country, idk.

Thoughts? Suggestions? Are there any other country's that you'd recommend?

You only said you want to move in northern countries, go to warmer places. Try Japan if you really want to live US. I know you will have a hard time learning the language and especially the writing but is a nice country. In Europe i would prefere Spain.
Australia is also an english language country.

About Trump or Hillary being the worst scenario in US i agree with you.
Good luck!

Well it depends on a number of factors.

If you're rich, then probably the U.S.

If you're middle class, and have liberal social views, then probably Canada and shares a similar market to the U.S.

Scandinavian countries tend to rank the highest on public well-being and happiness.

However, the U.S. has the biggest market for things like movies and games. So if you move to a place like Norway, then you might not have the same access to videogames as you would in the U.S.

I would not recommend Japan because even though it is a very safe place, it is very xenophobic. They don't mind tourists, but living there is a different thing altogether. Also if you choose to live in Japan, you'd better be prepared to put 110% into your work with minimal financial reward. You won't get rich quick there.

Fleeing the country because of the two idiots running for office is a bit over dramatic. However, I've read Australia has some nice places as well as Canada.

You have to have money in the bank to move** to other countries. Not assuming you are poor or anything but if you move from a first world country to another, they usually require you have some sort of assets. This is to ensure you will actually be a productive member of society and not coming to abuse the countries social programs. Also, immigration and with the intent to become a citizen usually requires sponsorship by a family that already lives in the country you want to move to.

I actually don't mind the cold, but open to new ideas. Spain is not really a place I had in mind, but living there. I hear their beaches are amazing! But, Australia is a not an option, too many deadly animals for me. I wouldn't enjoy living somewhere where over half of the animals there are trying to kill me lol

You're bringing up a big point about video games. Man... there are way more factors that play into this then I thought. :wut:

I'm preparing myself for the huge price tag that comes with moving to another country, and I think I should be fine sometime after I graduate from Uni. I'm paying a part of my tuition out of pocket, so hopefully my college debt doesn't come and bite me in my ass.

Doesn't matter where you go if Killary becomes president... the nuclear fallout will reach you in due time. But anywhere that speaks Engrish would suffice if you're just escaping U.S. shitstorms.

There are a host of factors for you to consider like money, distance from family, the language barrier and so on. But without taking all of the aforesaid factors into account and looking at it from a purely emotional standpoint rather than practically; I always thought that Switzerland would be a great place to live.

South Africa would have been great if not for the recent xenophobia crisis.

Switzerland is one of the most based countries out there.

Homogenous society, guns, low crime rate and people there have very few problems with unemployement and money.
