Why do Pein's Summonings...

Why do Pein's Summonings have Rinnegan? Are they under some sort of Genjutsu. That's the only viable explanation I can think of.

Yea but technically if they are all dead their consciousness and thoughts would no longer exist leaving only Nagato controlling them like he did the six paths

I know that in the Japanese culture the frogs are considered to be divine, but.. considering the lore of NarutoSeries the animal path comes from a higher level of divinity which is connected to their world through the Rinnegan. So, this is a bit hard, but which one is better Animal Path or Frog Summon.
