Amenotejikara allows sasuke to switch places instantly with an object as such

so technically, couldn't Sasuke switch places with a raindrop, making for an almost unpredictable attack?

I'm sure there must be a size retriction there somewhere, or else he'd just switch himself with atoms. Or just air. Though he can teleport without switching, I believe.

i mean you would have to be able to perceive the atom with the bare eye, which he can't do, but no i don't beleive he can teleport without switching.

This an object is such a small detail in his abilities

On naruto wiki it says to extend the range he can use the 9 tailed beasts chakra like he did against naruto or switch places with another object but he can teleport in a shorter distance without switching places

sounds about right. ftg and kamui both have two mechanics of it's space time, so it's not surprising ameno does as well.

He can swap with pretty much anything/anyone. I don't believe there are restrictions, otherwise, they would be written in Ameno's page @ databook.

Also, even if the battle field is full of large objects, I believe the technique is still as unpredictable as always.

Visual effect. Otherwise Sasuke can switch without a object, he already did it multiple time, against Naruto or to avoid Kaguya's attack.
And he didn't need an object to teleport Madara or Kaguyra either.
