What if someone managed to bring back the old sage in edo form, would that be the most op edo ? Would his spirit even allow such a tech to even work? How many gai clones would it take to beat him? Can gai use shadow clone? If he did holy shit who wins?

1. It wouldn't be the most powerful edo, the strongest edo would be kaguya
2. Probably. Madara was able to stop edo tensei after all. And considering Hagoromo is the father of shinobi he might have special abilities or attributes that exclude him from forced summoning
3. His battle strength is unknown so there is no answer for how many gais it would take to defeat him
4. Gai has never used shadow clone in the manga but he most likely can. Still refer to #3 we dont know hago's battle strength

I think its less to do with Indra and Ashura's chakra and more with the fact that Hashirama and Madara were nearly god-tier when they were resurrected. Similarly, if Orochimaru were to remove their boundaries when first using Edo Tensei back in part 1, it js strongly implied that Tobirama would have broken out despite not being a transmigrate.
